This whole Koran burning thing is ridiculous. It is a distraction from REAL issues. Burning a Koran will not put our soldiers in any more harm than they already are. It will not cause more Muslims to hate Americans or Christians, news flash, they already do! They never stopped, and most likely will continue well into the future. I do not support the pastor who did it or planned to do it because it is decidedly un-Christian. It is a worldly response, rather he should seek to educate and profess the truth of Christ to those who call themselves Muslims. Reveal to them the truth regarding their religion, and expose it for what it is. Burning a koran is simply returning evil for evil rather than overcoming evil with good. I see it as a vain attempt to get media attention.

As for the guy in the video, I don't know who he is and to be honest, I don't care. I don't think burning the Koran does anything but prove that most people in this country and around the world are easily manipulated and controlled by over the top, emotional rhetoric and media grand-standing. We wax patriotic about 9/11 yet fail to ask real questions regarding what actually happened! We accept the idiotic 911 Commission report as truthful and factual, not realizing that an aluminum plane cannot, nor will it ever, bring down a steel and concrete reinforced structure. I am not one to say "Bush did it" or that it was Chaney or Clinton's fault, that is equally idiotic. Yet, no one can deny reality. Those buildings were brought down by something far more powerful than two airplanes or a few explosives, and given the amount of time it has taken just for Iran to get a hold of nuclear power, I think we can safely state that, most likely, It was not Muslims that attacked us and brought down those buildings. We are being duped and dumbed down each and every time we participate in the arena of media sponsored rhetorical battles regarding relatively meaningless scenarios concerning pointing fingers at one group or another.

It is time to wake up and stop playing politics. It is not about left vs. right, conservative vs. liberal, or Democrat vs. Republican...it is about right vs. wrong, good vs. evil. WE need to begin to look at what truly is evil and what truly is good. It seems that we have forgotten.

You know, I watched this video and never heard the "N" word uttered. Only the chant of "U-S-A, U-S-A..." from the crowds and the roar of a Harley, obviously to drown out the press conference,...of course the New Black Panthers along with the rest of their ilk like Al "the riot king" Sharpton will present this as a demonstration of white racism.

I don't know what you see, but I see a demonstration of REAL patriotism and this video shows that people, especially whites, are beginning to wake up, grow some gonads, and speak the truth to ignorant black folk like the ones who showed up here to protest a man defending his own property. I say good for them, I am happy to see this, but sad at the same time, in that I did not see any blacks among the crowds helping to run these bullies out of town. Sad.

Blacks need to do the exact same thing with these political pimps, pulpit hustlers, and wannabe black leaders who claim to speak for and represent the black community. I would love to see that one day, black folks running Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Maxine Waters, and the entire NAACP, Congressional Black Caucus, and the Obama administration right out of town.(figuratively speaking of course)

While the BP Oil spill maybe bad for some locally in the Gulf, there is an article here that puts things in a little bit more perspective. I think we will survive this...

This is the same amount of oil that was dumped into the Atlantic during WWII, when 452 tankers were sunk by German U-boats, mostly along the US east coast, and when tar on the beach was a daily occurrence. This is on top of the 1.5 million barrels a year that leak into the Gulf through natural seepage, which no one ever notices. One way or the other, this will end, and Western civilization will survive. And by the way, the crude price rise brought by the spill also marked up the value of BP's reserves, easily allowing it to cover the cost of the clean up, no matter how big it is.

Ed Bush recalled how he stood in the bed of a pickup truck in the days after Hurricane Katrina, struggling to help the crowd outside the Louisiana Superdome separate fact from fiction. Armed only with a megaphone and scant information, he might have been shouting into, well, a hurricane.

Just one of the few honest reports about what really happened during Hurricane Katrina. Many media outlets on both sides of the political arena played the race card to either blame whites for a lack of apathy towards blacks or to blame blacks, particularly poor blacks, for a lack of moral character. After all of these years since the hurricane hit, I have found that neither side were accurate. I would even venture to say that not only were they not accurate but I believe many of these so called trusted news sources and commentators were out right dishonest. I've heard some say that blacks stayed behind due to their immorality and government dependence, essentially the implication is that they were lazy. Yet, over 90% of the population in New Orleans is black and it has been reported and verified that over 80%-85% of the residents evacuated. This tells me that the majority of blacks actually had the good sense to listen to the warnings and leave! Now, I would never profess to be a scholar of any sort but to me, common sense dictates that if you have a population where the majority is black, then it is readily obvious that the majority of those left behind are also going to be black. Just sayin'. So those who used the few who stayed behind as an overall indictment against the immorality of blacks were actually being very dishonest in that the relatively few that stayed behind, for whatever reason, is not an accurate reflection of the majority of the populace and therefore is not an indictment of all black people, not even most black people. Yet, there are those, white and black, who not only believe that it is but continue to perpetuate this falsehood on radio and t.v. as if all of the whites got out and all of the blacks stayed behind. Ridiculous!

The other side of the coin is those who want to blame "whitey" for the ills of the black community, starting with George Bush and going on down the pipe. This is equally ridiculous and only distracts from real issues surrounding the incident such as the levees breaking, thousands of displaced residents, and reconstruction. It also discredits legitimate concerns surrounding the Army Core of Engineers and their upkeep of the levees. Why did they give out, that is if they actually gave out. There are many who purported that the levees were blown up, including many testimonials of residents hearing a blast or explosion prior to the massive flooding, yet this is not looked at in any serious manner due to the outrageous claims and accusations attached to it by the likes of Jesse Jackson and Louise Farrakhan. Allowing people like them, race hustlers, only brings a type of discredit to the entire event. It makes the plight of those stranded seem as if they are truly what the stereotypes say they are, poor, uneducated, black folks, too lazy to do for themselves. Yet, true reports from those who were on the ground give a different story as the article indicates. Read, and see for yourself. My advice is to listen to everything, believe nothing, and research for yourself to find the truth.

The "Book Of Eli" Movie Is Not A "Good" Movie

I recently saw the new Denzel Washington flick called "The Book Of Eli", also starring Gary Oldman. When I first saw the ads for this film I wasn't sure what it was about but had an impression that it had some type of spiritual connotation to it. After all, Eli is reminiscent of Elijah the Old Testament prophet, so, being a Christian, I was immediately intrigued. After a few more weeks of ads and some t.v. trailers I realized what the movie could be about. I definately figured it had something to do with the bible. Despite this fact, I still did not care to see it. I am not big on Hollywood interpretations of religion and I especially do not like the way Christianity is usually portrayed. I figured this movie would be filled with pieces of truth without any substance. As time progressed and the movie came closer to its debute, endorsements began to multiply along with the advertisements. The Book of Eli was receiving much hype as it were, I think especially since Denzel Washington was starring in it, playing an action role, which has been quite rare for him.

Currently I attend West Angeles Church of God In Christ located here in Los Angeles California, Bishop Charles Blake is the pastor. Admittedly, I attend because my wife, prior to us being married, was already a member, yet, I haven't officially joined myself and don't plan to. I mention this because I found out that Denzel Washington is also a member of the same church and has donated generously to West Angeles over the years. After the movie began to be marketed, during one Sunday service Bishop Blake announced that Mr. Washington was present, he then went on to explain that he was starring in a new movie. Bishop Blake then encouraged his congregation to go see the movie because it is about a man who protects God's word, which is a good thing. At the time, even prior to seeing the movie, I completely disagreed with this assessment of the movie. Most if not all of the attendants the that service applauded, sad.

If you cannot tell by now, I am not a big fan of the Book of Eli and don't believe it is a movie that paints a positive image of Christianity or the bible. I did not plan to see the movie at all, didn't care to. Then one day during my Sunday School class at the same church, one of the other members mentioned that they had seen the movie and honestly remarked that they did not understand a bit of it. I wasn't surprised. He and his wife mentioned certain elements of the movie and also commented that there were some pretty graphic fighting scenes. I wasn't surprised at that either. Having heard this commentary from my classmate I decided to go see the movie for the sake of knowing what I was talking about when I revealed the reality of the film.

I say the "reality of the film" because what many Christians do not realize is that most if not all of the science fiction and action movies released through mainstream Hollywood are filled with occult imagery and themes. These movies have what is known to the initiated as esoteric interpretations and exoteric meanings. The esoteric is the hidden meanings and messages through the use of symbols, phrases, and graphic imagery or special effects. Many times when we hear one type of phrase or terminology in a film it has a double meaning to it. The exoteric involves the revealed knowledge that the general public is aware of. It is what you actually see on the surface and are able to understand without interpretation. This type of thinking or belief system, that symbols, words, actions, etc. have double meanings is called Gnosticism. The book of Eli is filled with Gnostic interpretations of the world, the bible, and specifically Christianity. Unfortunately, most Christians are not aware of this belief system, yet many of them participate in this type of thinking all of the time when they read their bibles.

While at this time I will not go deep into describing and interpreting the Book of Eli, I will say this, it doesn't uphold the integrity of God's word, it is not a Christian friendly film, and it does condemn and even deny Jesus Christ as the Son of the Most High God. This film is a Gnostic film and plays right into the Luciferian doctrine of establishing a new world order to usher in the world teacher after a great cataclysmic event. I encourage you Believers out there to begin to see that Satan has his hand in Hollywood, be mindful of this fact and put on the Whole Armour of God to withstand it.

A quick & simple brief on the concept of tithing….

Matthew 17:24-27
And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. (emphasis mine)

Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Comparing the two references here one can surmise that the children (read "Sons") of God are lead by the Spirit of God. Since we belong to God as His children then we, as children, according to the very words of Jesus the Christ, are not subject to pay taxes (read tithes, tribute) to God (our King). Only strangers pay the King a tribute (tax, tithe), but family or children do not for they are the heirs of the Kings wealth.

Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”

Think about it, can we really pay God anything? Is our needs being met by our creator contingent upon what or how much we give Him first?

Romans 11:35 “Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?”

Tithing was a part of the ceremonial law of Moses, yet we are not to try to keep any part of the law. As indicated through Romans, we are not to be under the ceremonial law but are lead by the spirit. If we try to keep even one part of the law then we have to keep all of it. Yet, we are under grace and have a new covenant with God through faith. If we try to keep even part of the law, we make what Christ did on the cross of no effect and are cursed. We are made free from the curse of the law which is death.

Galations 3:10
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

Romans 8:1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

As Jesus pointed out to Peter, “Then are the children free”.

A couple of years back in 2007, I posted about ACORN and voter fraud investigations. I also commented about our now current president, Barack Obama's connection to this corrupt organization. Now we see that the corruption is far deeper than we first realized and I believe it goes even deeper than this. What bothers me the most is that our president was deeply connected to this organization not very long ago. He was directly benefited by this group, lobbied for them, defended them in court, and raised money for them. Don't be surprised if it comes out that he is intertwined in this corrupt organization at the upper most part of its leadership.

The latest scandal with ACORN is potentional fraud against the IRS, and child prostitution, encouraging a pimp and prostitute to lie to the government in order to qualify for government funded home loans. Amazing!

Dambisa Moyo on her vision for Africa & what's wrong with aid

It is like the old adage, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

This is absolutely brilliant and needed to be said. Thank God for common sense. The concepts she espouses in her book can be applied right here in the U.S.A. with social programs, subsidies, and government handouts that have lead to more corruption and poverty than progress. Social welfare programs, particularly targeted towards minority communities have done a great deal of economic and moral damage to those communities. Speaking in reference to the black community specifically, government assistance has only encouraged a greater dependency to government programs, the break down of the family unit, and increased out of wedlock birth rates.

More power to Ms. Moyo, I am thankful she had the gonads to challenge the status quo. I wish more people had the common sense and decency to realize the huge disservice they do when we continue to allow our government and some non-government entities to give money to corrupt regimes in the name of charity. Just becuase something looks good doesn't mean it IS good.

How is it that the President can suddenly switch gears and decide that passing his screwed up health care bill is a moral and ethical imperative?

It makes no logical sense whatsoever and yet, it seems people are buying it hook line and sinker. Amazing! Take a look at the video here and see for yourself, the man claims to be Christian yet mocks the very book his "faith" is rooted in. Then when he sees that his health care plan is not very popular among the masses, he switches gears and decides that morality actually does matter, but only when it comes to getting his way. Morality matters only when it makes you politically relevant and popular with certain special interest groups.

There is lot of hoopla in the media over the proposed health care reform bill that is to be voted on after the congressional recess. While the reform bill is incredibly complicated, the opinions on either side are quite simple. On one side we have those who say that our health care system is broken and we need to do two things to fix it; ensure that millions of Americans have access to health care, and ensure that health care is affordable for all Americans. While I am sure many would agree that our health care system does need massive improvements, especially in the area of cost, I am not so sure that this new bill is the answer, considering that it has been rushed through with such unnecessary urgency, without being revealed to the general public nor, by their own admission, not even being read in its entirety by our public representatives, the very people who are supposed to vote on it!

In a Townhall.com article written by Thomas Sowell, a particular point he made regarding the health care debate stood out to me and reminded me of something I remember hearing President Ronald Reagan say in one of his early speeches. First Mr. Sowell writes:

"But where are Americans to turn if we become like Canada? Where are we to go when we need better medical treatment than Washington bureaucrats will let us have? Mexico? The Caribbean?"

President Reagan made the same point in his historical speech he gave for Barry Goldwater when he ran for president, the speech was called "A Time For Choosing", in it he states:

"Not too long ago two friends of mine were talking to a Cuban refugee, a businessman who had escaped from Castro, and in the midst of his story one of my friends turned to the other and said, "We don't know how lucky we are." And the Cuban stopped and said, "How lucky you are! I had someplace to escape to." In that sentence he told us the entire story. If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to."

Folks, I agree with both points here, we have to stop and really think about what we are losing each and every time we ask "big brother" to solve our problems. Something I've come to realize about government involvement in anything other than what it was established to do is this, whenever we want the government to provide us something, they first MUST take it from us in order to give less of it back to us. Whatever it is we have received from our government is far, far less than what we could have had we done it ourselves. Many of us Americans seem to forget that we are a great and truly free country, a model for the rest of the world. People from all over the world flock here for freedom. Many of them make great sacrifices, risking life and limb, just to get into this country and to live free. This includes those nations who already have government controlled health care systems, Canada and other nations come to the U.S. to receive cutting edge medical attention, that they do not and cannot get in their own countries Not because we are smarter, more talented, or are better people, but because we are a free nation. Our medical system is not too far gone where it is stifled by government bureaucracy.

Lets remember these words spoken by to very wise men both past and present, we have to consider that if we continue to give up our freedoms we will reach a point where we will have no where else to turn to . If this health care bill passes, I have no doubt it will be a complete disaster and the truly sad part is that we will not be able to reverse this decision once it is implemented. I think as citizens we tend to forget that the government as an entity, is not here to take care of us. They are not motivated by love to do good things for us as a people. The government's goal is and always will be to simply manage us. The only way to truly manage anyone or anything is to develop ways to control it. This health care reform bill is no such thing, it is neither about health, nor is it about caring, it is merely about control.

I think right now in our great history we are at an impasse. We have reached that fork in the road where we have to choose. The stimulus package, health care reform, the cap and trade bill, etc. are all indicative of where we are headed, and the future is not looking to bright. One road looks dark and dim for us as a country and down the other there is light. Right now it looks as if we are choosing the darker road. There is hope though, I've seen glimpses of hope in these televised townhall meetings that have taken place over the last couple of weeks. I've seen hope in the tea parties taking place all over the country since President Obama took office, and I see hope in those who choose to speak up on the issues and actually get a little mad about them.

Lets not let up, get mad, then speak up to those who are making these choices for us, those who we have allowed to serve us. Lets take back our freedoms one policy at a time.

If you watched the press conference given by our President last night you would have seen and heard him make comments regarding racial profiling in reference to a recent incident involving Henry Louis Gates being arrested for disorderly conduct by an officer who had arrived at Mr. Gate's residence in response to a call involving breaking and entering. Apparently Mr. Gates was locked out of his own home and had to jimmy his way in along with his driver, neighbors suspected a break in and called the police. According to the arresting officer Mr. Gates became belligerent towards him and so was arrested for disorderly conduct. The arresting officer Sergeant James Crowley has stated that he is not racist and will not apologize, in spite of requests to do so by Gates.

Given that Mr. Gates is a friend of the President I guess Mr. Obama couldn't help but to comment on the issue. Maybe he felt obligated to do so, which is understandable yet, I think that his coming out on any side was a tad bit premature and maybe completely out of place.

"He should steer clear of it if he doesn't know all the facts," said Patricia Lynch, 49, a consultant and graduate of Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, as she emerged from a Boston cafe. "For any specific case, you have to go only by the facts of that particular case."

My sentiments exactly! I find it hard to understand why President Obama decided to comment on this incident when he admittedly did not know all of the facts for himself. It makes absolutely no sense.

Obama stated that while he doesn't know all of the facts of the incident, the Cambridge Massachusetts police "acted stupidly" in arresting Mr. Gates since he had already proven that he lived in the residence. What Mr. Obama fails to realize is the stupidity of his own statement on two fronts, first he admits not knowing all of the facts and then proceeds to comment on a case, implying racism took place without any clear evidence to prove it! Amazing! Second, Henry Louis Gates was arrested for disorderly conduct and not for breaking and entering as Obama's statment implies. According to a Boston Globe article, Officer Crowley was making his way out of the home when Mr. Gates followed him out continuing to be belligerent towards the officer, this is where and why he was arrested, not for trespassing or breaking and entering.

So my conclusion of the Presidents premature comments, without having all of the facts, is that he commented stupidly. While I admit that Mr. Obama is not a friend of mine, I can say with some assurance that what he said last night was stupid, without having all of the facts of course.

Here is a suggestion for our dear President, why not wait for all of the facts to come out first and then come out and make a comment either way. Sounds like the smart thing to do.

News Flash: Colin Powell endorses Barack Obama!

Am I surprised? Yes I am, yet at the same time it doesn't surprise me. What makes Mr. Powell any different from other Blacks who are voting for Obama just because he is black? This endorsement demonstrates that he is as flawed in character as most black people. It saddens me in that I had great respect for Colin Powell, I always considered him as someone of great moral character. Yet, when I read his reasons for endorsing Obama because he is "a transformational figure", the only conclusion I can draw is that Mr. Powell lacks common sense and character. He can offer nothing of real substance or fact that would support why he thinks Barack Obama is qualified to be president. Nothing tangible, nothing soluble, nada. Just ambiguous terminology about change and "electrifying the world", the same language that Barack himself uses on the campaign trail. If any of you out there didn't believe that there is favoritism towards liberal blacks before, this should be screaming proof that there is. Barack Obama has offered zero towards real, tangible, viable solutions to government corruption, the economy, or foreign policy, yet people love him because he is a well spoken, liberal, black man who panders to the masses what they want to hear rather than what needs to be said, the truth.

Are we as a nation so desperate for a messiah that we will put anyone there regardless of whether they are right or wrong? I've heard many blacks refer to Obama as "the one" or the "chosen one of God". Not only strange but down right scary stuff.

As you will read below, my pastor friend did not care for this article very much. Keep in mind that he is about 20 years my senior and is a pastor of a local church in L.A.

I disagree that the President is not responsible for personal sins, it says in Romans that God appoints leaders and governments to carry out and enforce the law, that makes them responsible for personal sins doesn't it? That is why we have laws, to govern and stave off personal sins, i.e. murder is illegal. Ever heard of the ten commandments? Well our laws are based on those ten little rules handed down to us from on high. Speaking of personal sins, Obama not only publicly supports abortion but has voted to implement laws that allow for Partial Birth Abortion, allowing babies to be born and then killed outside of the womb. He associates with known criminals, and has worked extensively with corrupt organizations such as ACORN, which has been under investigation and indicted several times in the past for voter fraud in voter registration drives across the country.

No one is saying that either candidate is perfect, yet, as men and women of God, our vote should be an extension of our core convictions. Supporting homosexuality, abortion on demand, high taxation, forced redistribution of wealth and a basic resentment of our country are not Christian convictions. There is no way around that, so how do you justify voting for someone whose convictions contradict your own? Or do they? Not only that, but the word states that "my people perish for lack of knowledge", that is what this article is about, get the REAL facts about each candidate and make a wise choice.

BTW, If you want to know which party platform best represents what is right, look at the real history of each party. It was always and consistently republicans that fought for civil rights for blacks all the way through to the civil rights movement of the 60's. The republican party was partly founded by blacks from several states including Texas. There were hundreds of blacks who owned slaves before the civil war, and many advocated for slavery. The ku klux klan, and subsequent lynchings was started by democrats to dissuade blacks from joining the republican party and voting. Oh, and just in case you didn't realize this, as some of your fellow brothers don't know, Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, you know him, the guy that signed the emancipation proclamation and freed the slaves?

Democrats have historically patronized blacks as victims of white racism just to get our vote yet have done nothing for the black community. They only promise more free handouts, which is part of why we are in this economic crisis to begin with, Freddie and Fannie, hello? Both started under the Clinton administration, Franklin Raines (black dude) was appointed by Clinton, ran Freddie and Fannie into the ground through mismanagement, yet was defended by none other than screwed up black folks on the Black Democratic Caucus. It was Republicans that called for reform of Fannie and Freddie as recent as just a couple of years ago, yet Dems opposed any regulation or reform. The Bush administration has nothing to do with the current economic crisis, nor is the crisis related to tax cuts or war time spending at all, which makes no sense anyway, they are completely unrelated.

I recommend you get your facts straight before you vote next month. Neither candidate is ideal, yet it is the party represented I vote for and the core beliefs behind it, not the man alone. I want a black man to be president just as bad as the next guy, yet, I want him to represent what is right as well. My friend, each person will stand before either the "Great White Throne or The Bema Seat of Christ" Sin is not a lawful issue, Sin is a Moral issue. And as for association, we all have some guilt there regardless of who we are, the word is complicity. There will be both Democrats and Republicans in Heaven and Hell.

Who is they? All you have to do is read and do a little research and you will see it for yourself. There were Republicans as well as Democrats who were in the wrong, yet, the majority were Dems and they were at the forefront.

When you find a perfect human being that represent what you perceive is right on everything, let me know and I too will vote for him, but we know that does not exist, not in the world I live in anyway. P.S After all did I read somewhere in the Word of God that it is He who choose Leaders and Authorities to rule. And it I remember correctly it is only His Word that is Truth and Facts, the rest is just opinionated and temporal.
Once again, no one is saying McCain or Obama is perfect, its not about who is perfect, it is about what best represents what is right. Wouldn't you agree that there is a such thing as right and wrong? Let me ask you this, and please take no offense I am sincere in asking this. Are you a black man first and a Christian second, or a Christian first and a black man second, or are you a Black Christian, or a Christian who happens to be black? Where does your allegiance lay, with God or man? Are you loyal to your "race" first and then to God second? Is the color of your skin more important than the content of your character?

FYI, not that it would matter to you.

I was having reservations in my spirit as to which person I would be in favor of enough to cast a vote for; even before Obama was the Democratic Nominee. Twelve months ago I was not willing to vote for anyone that was on either ticket. Therefore, skin color has absolutely nothing to do with this, I have a higher IQ than such.

I ask God for directions that I may have a clear conscience in casting my vote the next President of America.

Sometimes after I had petition God for guidance this is when He spoke to my heart through His Holy Spirit.

I am not questioning your IQ, only your convictions. Personally I believe you to be incredibly intelligent and scholarly. As seen above, initially you stated that it was based on the history of either party that you make your decision for Obama and did not mention at all that somehow God was leading you to vote for Obama, so now God through the Holy Spirit is leading you?

You still didn't asnwer my questions about what you are first. I will give you my answer anyway, I am a man of God who happens to be black, who happens to live in America.

Therefore I am a Christian American male who is black in that order.

9/11 Seven Years Later. Has Anything Changed?

A coworker and friend of mine reminded me that it has been seven years since the September 11 attacks at the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and failed attempt on the White House. In the midst of our discussion she posed a simple yet very interesting question, and in my opinion, a very good one, "Has anything really changed since then?" and as a follow up, "has justice been served?". I thought to myself, wow, what great questions to ask in light of the war in Iraq, in Afghanistan and the ongoing debates about deployments, pulling out, and going after Bin Laden. We are now in the midst of another presidential election where the future of the current war is yet uncertain. Many Americans on both sides of the aisle want change and a reform of government. Yet, what does that change mean?

Instead of offering up my two cents, I would like to hear from the blogworld readers out there, what is your answers to these questions.

Has justice been served since 9/11?

What has changed since then?

What does change mean to you when you hear certain candidates speak about it?

Should America Be More Like Europe?

As the title says, should we as a nation be more like Europe, at least in the area of economic policies? Well, Walter Williams in his article titled "Should we copy Europe?" on Townhall.com says no. I agree. If you take a good look at our European cousins they are not really doing so well these days when it comes to fiscal responsibility and social stability. Sure, I've heard a few individuals speak of how the Euro is out-performing the dollar in the market but that's on paper and the dollar is still pretty strong right now and you have to ask why that is and if anything, this article ought to make you wonder how is it that a nation can survive if it continues to weaken its own people through governmental over-taxation and subsidies? Remember the saying, teach a man to fish vs. give a man a fish? Do you recall which was better? According to European policy and those who continue to look to Europe for guidance on American policies, apparently it is better to simply take the fish from another fisherman and give it to someone who doesn't know how to fish, then give the fisherman back a small piece of the fish he caught to begin with.

Is this what we want in America? Do we want to live off of the government rather than live, work, and enjoy the fruits of our own labor? Read Mr. Williams article, maybe you will be surprised, as I was, at just how bad it REALLY is in Europe. If Europe can't get the basic principle of free enterprise and low taxation right, then I doubt if they can get much else right in regards to governmental policies. This has been evident over the past year as we have seen Muslim youths rioting in France and are still doing so to this day. They are finally reaping the whirlwind of their Socialist economic and political policies. I think my point becomes more valid when you read this article from The Brussels Journal called "The Rape Of Europe". This is a perfect example of what might be in our own future if we are not careful here in America. Many of the social doctrines of Diversity and Multiculturalism that are espoused by our leaders will ultimately lead to our destruction as a nation. There is a reason patriotism is important to a nation, especially a free nation if it is to survive, a nation must have the loyalty of its own people. This is why the illegal immigration debate is such a hot topic, underneath all of the political ballyhoo is this harsh reality. Emmigrants of any race or ethnicity who come to this country must assimilate into the American cultural mainstream. It is essential if this country is to survive. In addition, our own economic policies can have a direct correlation between the loyalty, strength and resolve of the people and how much actual financial freedom is enjoyed by the very same. The more you enslave a people the more they will want to rebel and be free, and the less loyal they will become. We have seen this scenario played out throughout history. No right thinking individual wants to be a slave, whether physically or economically. I hope that one day my fellow Americans will come to realize just how little freedom they actually have and begin to fight the powers that be that seek to control and subjugate us all through taxation and over-regulation. Hopefully, the people of Europe will somehow muster the spiritual and political will to fight back themselves. Demanding that their taxes be lower, that the government get out of the business of the "nanny state", and that those who seek to live in their country devote their loyalties to that country whole-heartedly. The idea of all cultures and religions being equal is a bad one and should go the way of the dinosaur.

You know what, I've changed my mind, we should definitely look to Europe when deciding our policies, as an example of what not to do.

Milton Friedman dies at 94...

Milton Friedman, one of the nations, if not the worlds most profound economists has died today from heart failure. He was 94 years old. Truly a sad day and I am sure he will be missed by many.

Mr. Friedman was a major proponent of free market economics and through him the idea of free-market economics through limited government was ushered into the mainstream conscience. It is this radical idea that is part of the foundational principles of conservatism and the Republican party. It is sad that the Republicans did not live up to this idea in recent years.

According to WND.com, a 70 year old cross dresser in New York City filed suit against the city for not being allowed to use the ladies room at the famous Grand Central Station and other subway stations. Apparently cross-dresser Helena Stone was warned by the stations security to not use the ladies restroom anymore, you know, since he IS a man and all. Of course poor Helena, whose real name is Henry McGuinness, did not appreciate this and decided to sue. According to Henry, it got so bad that he had to use a cup! Poor guy, I wonder though, why didn't he just go to the men's room?

Well, believe it or not this guy won and was paid $2000 in damages. According to the Metropolitan Transit Authority in New York, so called transgendered males can now use the bathroom of their choice! Similar to an existing policy implemented by the Human Rights Commission for government facilities. Amazing! What really bothers me is a comment by one of the subway bystanders saying...

"It doesn't bother me because it is a reality," she said. "If they believe they are women, they should be treated as one."

Huh! So, if I believe I am the president, then that means I should be treated like the president, right? Or, lets frame in relative context, if I believe I should be married to several women then I should be allowed to right? Or if I believe I should marry my horse then I should be allowed to, right? This is stupidity at its best people. Just because this GUY doesn't want to be a man does not mean we, meaning the rest of society, have to treat him like a woman. His decision is his burden to bare, not ours. This whole special rights ideology has gotten out of hand. It is one thing to demand basic human rights under the law as Blacks did so many years ago, it is yet another to demand special rights to accommodate something that is your choice, that is based on your feelings rather than inalienable fact.

The police officer had it right, this guy is a weirdo and should have been arrested as he was. He needs mental help, not patronizing at the expense of the rest of society. Instead of someone stepping up and telling this guy the truth, they simply roll over and give him what he wants without even considering the consequences, and if you cannot figure out what the consequences are then I feel very sorry for you indeed.

Once Again...Illegals Demanding Rights That Do Not Belong To Them

Or really I should say, someone else is demanding rights for illegals that do not belong to illegals. That is really what is happening here and has been so for the past few years. Illegal aliens are not necessarily demanding anything themselves, they are simply coming over and working, taking advantage of what has been made available to them. It is the special interests groups and unions that are demanding these "rights" on their behalf, using the people as leverage. Case in point, below is an article from the AFL-CIO website stating there intentions, along with a Hotel Workers union, to stage a massive protest on Century Blvd. right on the corridor leading to LAX. For those of you who may not be familiar as to how significant this may be, LAX is the Los Angeles international Airport. There is literally one major street that leads to LAX that everyone must take in order to get into the airport and that street is Century Blvd. Such a large scale protest could potentially shutdown any traffic leading to or from the airport. As the article below states, the organizers of this event believe that immigrants (illegal aliens) who work here deserve more pay from corporations who hire them. Too many are living at poverty levels. Yet, if that is the case, then why are they still here? Think about it, if these immigrants (illegal aliens) came here to secure better living conditions, better wages, etc., and now that they are here, they are still living at poverty levels, then why not go somewhere else? Why not go back to their country of origin? Why not? Because the reality is that in spite of there relatively low wages, they are still making more money over here than they did in their home country, plain and simple. Living in a one bedroom apartment in L.A. is not the same as living in a run down shack in some 3rd world nation. This is why many immigrants (read : illegals) come here, because in essence they realize that even at its worst, the living conditions and wages in America is still better than where they came from.

This is just another attempt at political pandering to rally the masses and gain some type off leverage with government in order for special interest groups and social organizations to fill their coffers. The people on the streets doing the protesting may get a bone thrown at them for this but it will be the upper echelon of these Unions and special interest organizations that reap the full benefits, both political and monetary.

I have to admit though, I agree with this notion of exploitation, these so called immigrants are being exploited by the corporations and also by these Unions and special interest groups who profess to be looking out for their best interests. The difference is at least these immigrants are being paid by the corporations for their efforts.

Its the same old song.

Millions of immigrant workers in the service sector in the United States earn poverty wages without access to affordable health care. “We know that once immigrants are able to obtain legal documents to remain in this country, the exploitation of immigrant workers by their employers continues,” said Maria Elena Durazo, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor. “Millions of immigrant workers are living in extreme poverty. This is reprehensible and needs to change.”

Patty Simmons, a food server at the LAX Hilton and an immigrant from Peru explains how despite working two full time jobs she struggles to make ends meet. “I spent three months separated from my husband and baby when we became homeless because we couldn't afford to pay rent. Now I work 18 hours a day and we live in one bedroom in a friend's apartment.”

We Are America and UNITE HERE's press conference to announce this historic action comes on the heals of an announcement by House Republicans that they will not support the Senate Reid-Kennedy amnesty bill and will pass a new legislative package to strengthen border security.

The immigrant rights groups will continue to focus efforts on legalization and to defend immigrants from legislative attacks but will expand their campaign to also address issues of discrimination and exploitation that immigrant workers face while in this country. “Congress is focused on passing legislation that does nothing to address the issues of discrimination and exploitation immigrants face in this country. We can not allow corporations to exploit immigrant workers for their own profit while hard working immigrants don't have enough money to feed their children, pay the rent, or access to healthcare,” said Angelica Salas, Executive Director of the Coalition of Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles.

By way of World Net Daily.com and Life News.com, Scientists are now using aborted fetus tissue for use as cosmetic youth enhancement for women! They have opened up clinics in tourist destinatons like Barbados to attract the rich and high class clientele. From the article:

To produce the treatments, clinics are using tissue from babies killed in abortions from 6 to 12 weeks into pregnancy and stem cells obtained from destroying human embryos to inject into a client's face. The fetal cells then begin a supposed rejuvenation process that makes the skin look younger.

You might say, well if the fetus was already dead, then why is it a big deal to use it for scientific advancement? O.k. good question, here is your answer:

To obtain the cells, women in underdeveloped nations are paid up to $200 dollars to carry a baby up to the optimum eight to 12 week period when the fetuses are “harvested” for their stem cells which are then sold to exclusive cosmetic clinics.

These people are paying women to get pregnant, carry the child to a certain stage in pregnancy and then aborting the children to be "harvested" for their stem cells and body tissue! The word 'Amazing' comes to mind, amazing that we have gotten to such a point in human history where, instead of advancing forward, we are merely reverting backwards. One thing that I've learned from history is that we do not learn from history. How is it that these people can justify such atrocities? It boggles the mind, yet at the same time it almost makes perfect sense in a world that allows a practice such as abortion to be used as birth control by young women, citing that it is the woman's right to choose. It is no wonder that so many women today are suffering on so many levels now and are exploited more now than possibly any other time in history, yet this exploitation is a willing participation by the victim and the exploiter. So, in truth, I feel little sympathy for a person that participates in any aspect of abortion and suffers the consequences of such acts. It is their just desserts for such a monumental act of selfishness.

As far as these scientists are concerned, they are going to hell in a hand basket, filled with alcohol, sliding down a razor blade. I pray that this practice is stopped and at the least, the poeople involved will repent for their participation, for their own good.

Question to those so called atheists, amatuer scientists, evolutionists, etc. out there. Is this what science is for? Does such a practice contribute to the betterment of mankind?

My answer, if anything, this demonstrates why science cannot be reconciled without religion or a belief in God. There needs to be a moral foundation by which a scientist operates or else his work is of no real use but to those who would exploit it to its darkest ends. Science and religion cannot be separated, they go hand in hand. For science itself is a creation of God almighty.

Achievement gaps still plague certain minority groups, blacks in particular. One thing she points out quite clearly is that she doesn't have the answer, although I believe she does offer a solution, just not one everyone wants to accept, her suggestion...

This blogger doesnÂt have the answers. My only quest is to urge people to look within before looking without. If your child is failing or under-achieving, why? What can you do that doesnÂt involve blaming George Bush or your great-great-great grandfatherÂs white owner? Do you encourage achievement in the home? Is it filled with books and other learning materials, or is it filled with vapid DVDs and the sounds of vacuous TV shows? Is the TV on from the time your kids get home from school, or are the children required to complete their homework or engage in activities that stimulate and develop the intellect?

Yes, that is right, parental involvement. Plain and simple. Whatever happened to old fashioned hard work and perseverance that my grandma used to teach me? She would say "...boy, you do your best and God will take care of the rest." Does that still hold true today? I used to get whooped (spanked for those who don't speak ebonics) by my dad for bringing home a C or worse. Not that every parent should punish their child for getting bad grades in this way, yet there is something to holding a child accountable for the performance.

When I was a kid I used to watch these old NFL football high lights shows with my father. At the time I didn't really understand football, let alone know how to play. Yet, for some reason I loved watching the old footage of players running, hitting, tacking, sometimes exhausted, frustrated and even angry. Of course I loved the segments of touch-downs, pass completions and amazing quarter-back sacks or long yard drives. Yet, some of the most memorable for me was that of Vince Lombardi and the Greenbay Packers. Hearing his inspirational talks and seeing how he interacted with his team moved me for some reason. Although I am too young to even really understand the era this man came from, I find myself to be a fan of his none-the-less, a fan of his accomplishments, of his legacy, but most of all a fan of his ability to lead. His ability to inspire. His desire to win.

When I listen to all of the meandering, whining and excuse-making that takes place in our public schools especially, i.e. how our children are dropping out and getting pregnant because schools need more money, yeah right! Or among our elitist politicians, who seem to change positions about as often as a baby with diarrhea changes diapers, I think about men like Vince Lombardi who never made excuses for failure and always stressed for perfection in all things. It would seem that we don't really do this anymore. We as a society seem to almost encourage mediocrity and borderline insanity. When I speak with other parents and teachers they are always afraid of being critical of others, no one wants to stand up and just say what is right anymore. My sons last school didn't even use grades any longer, just ambiguous terminology and a stupid numbering system. How is any child expected to succeed if they don't even know what failure looks like? How do you truly measure success if no one fails?

I posted this quote with the hope of giving you inspiration and maybe some of you out there, like myself, feel that this world has forgotten what greatness looks like what real success is, and most importantly, what the cost of real success is. I like to go back and read some of the writings and quotes from great men just to keep myself from going completely insane. I want to always remember what real success and greatness looks like and most importantly, to understand what it isn't.

Outsourcing Alternatives

The following is an open letter to those out there who are concerned about the ever increasing amount of job outsourcing taking place in this country. Written by a good friend Lisa Jansen, not only does she lay out the dilema of outsourcing but she then calls for us to come up with real positive solutions to present to businesses and others in power, to curb this trend of losing work to cheaper labor overseas. Please read below and feel free to comment:

Yesterday on KLTA Channel 5, a report on local real
estate vs. income said that only 17% of Southern
Californians can afford to purchase a medium priced
home. This means that people who earn $60,000 are now
in the lower middle class. At the same time somewhere
in LA a couple 100 of Los Angeles Time employees were
told that their jobs are being outsourced to India,
and if the outsourcing works out then the entire
Tribune corporation which employs 21,000 people
nationwide will eventually outsource a majority of
it's computer positions overseas as well. According to
Computerworld 1 in 5 IT jobs is outsourced overseas.
This does not include the 100's of banks postions,
telecommunication service, customer service positions
and manufacturing jobs all overseas. To ask companies
not to outsource would be like standing on the beach
and try to stop the waves from coming in. I understand
the demand for less production and labor costs to make
more of a profit but is outsourcing overseas to
countries with less stringent labor standards the
answer? I tend to wonder where we as a society are
heading when we lose sight of our fellow people on the
path to making and saving a dollar. If we can't afford
to buy gas let alone our own homes, what are we
suppose to do when our $15 to $25 an hour jobs are in
jeopardy by someone who is willing to work for $3 an
hour in Asia?

I am looking for positive alternatives to outsourcing
American jobs overseas. I have friends who have taken
their stand by boycotting the L.A. Times and of course
writing letters to editors, Senators, Mayors etc.
Without solutions a letter writing campaign is futile.
The Tribune and other companies like it are not going
to be intimidated by a few letters or e-mails.
Politicians are not going to risk the support of the
L.A.Times (and it's affiliated papers, radios and
television channels) to promote issues without
plausible resolutions. Employees and unions affiliated
with the Tribune companies are not going to rock the
boat by speaking out because they need to be able to
continue to work in the publishing industry regardless
of how hard finding a local job is going to get.
Several states have pending legislation to minimize
outsourcing jobs overseas but most of these new bills
are mere slaps on the hand. If you had a voice what
would your answer be? If you were the L.A. Times,
Verizon, Google or E-Bay what steps would you take to
keep American jobs on American soil?

I am asking that you write down your alternative and
then copy and forward this entire bulletin to myself
and all of your friends. Hopefully with enough
positive alternatives we can find someone willing to
take on large businesses like the Times and mandate
changes. If you don't agree with my view, thanks for
reading this far and let me know (politely) that you
disagree and I will not forward any more bulletins or
e-mails to you.

Illegal Immigration: Real Solutions

One of my favorite columnists/writer/economist/etc., etc. Mr Thomas Sowelle chimes in on the current situation regarding illegal immigration in a two part column called " Guests or gate crashers? Part I & II". I must say as usual, he hits the nail on the head. This whole farce of a protest, pandering, and meandering over the past few days has been about so called workers rights, yet no one wants to identify who the real workers are, illegal aliens. As Mr. Sowelle points out, no American citizen in their right mind can not sympathize with the motivations of many of the Mexicans who cross the American borders illegally in search for work. It is a noble thing to be willing to do all that is necessary to take care of ones own family, yet it is not noble to do so by braking the law.

This whole issue is not about race or discrimination. It is all about power struggles between elitist activists, pusillanimous politicians(that includes Mr. President), and business owners who want to cut corners when it comes to hiring. In a way our own over regulation of the private sector is to blame for much of this grief. Consider the fact that employers are forced to adhere to certain guidelines and conditions when it comes to hiring Americans, so called safety standards and regulations are costly, especially to small and mid sized firms. OSHA standards abound in just about every American company or corporation large and small. I mean, at the last company I worked for, a fellow manager got a paper cut, and because blood was shed as a result, we had to fill out about five different forms according to company and OSHA standards. For a paper cut! Ridiculous!

My point here is simple, the problem with illegal immigration will not be solved through pandering to race hustlers and extremist organizations who merely want to spread their corrupt ideology. Nor will it be solved through rewarding illegal behavior through an amnesty program disguised as a so called guest worker program (even though we already have one in place for those who apply properly). This problem will be solved through doing several key things, first, pressure must be put on our own government to secure our borders. Placing the National Guard there would virtually end illegal immigration over night. Second, begin deporting first those illegal immigrants who continue to brake the law by committing other crimes, i.e., theft, murder, drugs, and gang activity. This will allow others who are here to simply work and make a living the opportunity to continue working for a period and then develop an exit strategy to avoid future arrest. Three, stop increasing minimum wage, revamp OSHA standards, and reduce tax burdens on small and mid size businesses. In other words, get the government out of the private sector and allow the free market to operate. Over taxation and regulation is the number one cause of much of the business failures we see today, G.M. is a good example. Four, even more pressure must be put on Vicente Fox, Mexico's president and his government to reform themselves and begin creating a proper, working infrastructure that allows its citizens access to gainful employment. Mexico needs to become a truly free society and its government either needs to reform or be removed. This pressure must first come from the people of Mexico if it is to be taken seriously. Then as Americans we can demonstrate our support after the fact.

Until these four factors are enacted, there will be no true change or solution to the problem of illegal immigration and the safety of our borders.

One more point I should have mentioned above. Another area that will need serious reform is our entitlement system for individuals and yes I am talking about welfare, public assistance or whatever you want to call it. This needs to be revamped to the point where people are not making more by not working than working, and they are not getting more benefits by staying at home rather than getting a job. When these Americans are forced to work, they will work. They will do the jobs that illegals are doing now. Although, I must admit, I do not buy into such rhetoric. I find it hard to believe that there are no Americans who are not willing to work in landscaping, construction, or even as a maid. Such an argument makes little sense. The reality is that due to over regulation by government, American workers have become too expensive to employ, it isn't that they are unwilling to work or do so called menial jobs. When you have to work, you work, period.

Brokeback, Jacked Up, and Screwed Up...

A Review by Chad Thompson of Townhall.com called Breathing humanity into Brokeback, discusses some positive effects the film may have concerning understanding the struggles of being gay. In one part of this column he notes, "It opens the eyes of those who, before seeing the film, had no idea how darkness looms for those who live in fear of telling their friends and family that they are gay." That may be the case to an extent, yet you cannot ignore the greater, and far more serious influence this film may have, that being, creating an environment that further legitimizes deviant and damaging behavior. I doubt it necessary to make a full feature film with a star studded cast to convey to others how hard it is to deal with homosexuality. I don't need to witness someone drinking or being drunk to empathize with the plight of alcoholism. While Mr. Thompson seems to make some interesting points in this column, especially regarding the fact that homosexual behavior is a symptom of a deeper problem, he comes off as defending the film at first more so than pointing out the fallicies within it, only paying lip service to them. The fact that he actually used the term "homophobic" demonstrates to me that he has a far more liberal attitude regarding being gay and seeks to blame outward reactions to an already deviant behavior, rather than the behavior itself as noted here:

The movie itself argues that it was society's fault that Jack and Ennis never had a shot at living a real life together, and I agree. The early 1960s was a tumultuous time to be homosexual in America, and to the degree that the movie is a statement against the violent and homophobic attitudes of the sixties, I am its fan.

I disagree, it wasn't societies fault, it is Jack and Ennis' fault for choosing to live a deviant lifestyle wihout accepting the consequences of that lifestyle. Thompson should have continued focusing on the true cause, a sinful nature in need of redemption by our Creator. In so far as his use of the term homophobic, I have a real problem with such terminology given that it isn't even a real word but is only a political trigger word used as a tool to denograte those who actually find such behavior repulsive or disgusting, or who simply disagree with it, and rightfully so. Unwarranted violence against gays is no different than violence against blacks or any other individual, it is wrong and only demonstrates that there is evil in the world. For those who commit such violence it is the same assessment, they are in need of redemption as well.

Later in the article though, he begins drawing very good and interesting contasts regarding the existence of God and characters behavior in response to it. He writes:

The truly ironic part of the film is that almost every single scene contains a visual acknowledgment of God’s existence, along with a practical denial of it.

The apostle Paul says, “Since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”

The scenery portrayed in Brokeback Mountain—the rock formations, the sunrise, the skies, the rivers—they all testify to the existence of God and to the greatness of God. Yet the characters in the film acted in exactly the manner that one would expect someone to act who didn’t believe in God.

Very good contrast drawn here. I applaud him on this as it gets more at the crux of the matter for this seems to be the case in real life as well. We continue in our lives struggling with sin and many indulge themselves while still professing Christ, yet in doing so we completely deny Him in spite of the evidence to the contrary. A good example is on the website in the comments section, one commentor refers to himself as a "gay conservative Christian"...sorry but that makes no sense. To acknowledge Christ and at the same time deny him by indentifying with evil is a perfect example of worshipping the created rather than the Creator. Amazing!

The title suggests bringing humanity into the picture, yet the film speaks of and sympathizes with inhumane behavior. The humanity comes in when we begin to look at homosexuality for what it really is, deviant behavior that is an indication of a greater problem within the individual. Just as most deviant behavior is. We have to get away from the political correctness to get at the true solution, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Only then can humanity be brought to the table, but dressing up the language and using PC terminolgy only obscures the problem and usually points to the wrong solutions. Being more sensitive to gay lifestyles and pushing more to understanding and appeasement isn't going to help anyone.

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us..." Hebrews 12:2

...and that is what its all about. Christians have to get back to what is right and true. We have to stop watering down God's word to fit into what we "feel" is right. We have to stop being afraid to let go of that sin. It is about what God says is right, and He has already estiblished His order from the beginning, He made male and female in His image, Who is blessed forever, amen.

A small victory, yet bitter sweet as Jesse Jackson, in a lawsuit brought on by Jesse L. Peterson of BOND(Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny), was held accountable for his unruly behavior towards Peterson during a business conference several years ago. While the jury did not find Jackson liable for the charges brought against him, they were split as to the guilt of Jonathan Jackson's charges of assault. In the end though, despite the lies, the jury ruled once again in Jackson's favor.

Despite credible witness testimony corroborating Rev. PetersonÂs accounts of the attack perpetrated on him by the Jacksons, Jesse Jackson took the witness stand, never looked at the jurors and lied under oath. Throughout the trial Jesse Jackson, Jonathan Jackson, and their witnesses repeatedly perjured themselves. Among other outlandish claims, Jackson stated that this trial was part of a Âgiant right wing conspiracyÂ designed by Sean Hannity, Bill OÂReilly, and the neo-conservatives to destroy him and his organization.

Amazing! What really demonstrated the amount of hubris that Jackson carries about himself, when he did take the stand, he attempted to shake hands with the judge! Thankfully, the judge refused noting that he did not want to sway the jury. This guy is a joke and a half, who takes the witness stand and while up there, shakes hands with the judge? This is the type of attitude we are dealing with in Jesse Jackson, the man has no shame and no doubt believes he is untouchable. You can get the rest of the details about the trial here.

While this may seem as a failure or defeat, I see this as a large step towards change in that now people can see first hand the corruption that is within the Jesse Jackson camp. Hopefully others will see this as an example and be encouraged to stand up for God's truth against those who seek to lie, exploit and abuse others while invoking His holy name. I doubt if this will be the last time Jackson gets sued for such behavior. It certainly isn't the first time he has been accused.

Anniversaries...Good and Bad

First the good...

Friday was the 25 anniversary of Ronald Reagan's inauguration to president. Via Townhall.com, I found a great website from the Heritage Foundation that commemorates Mr. Reagan and his career, including many of his speeches, memorable quotes, and video commentary from one of his closest advisors and a Ronald Reagan Distinguished Fellow In Public Policy for the Heritage Foundation, Edwin Meese III.

My favorite speech from Mr. Reagan so far is A Time for Choosing, Mr. Reagan's campaign address for the Goldwater Presidential Campaign. To me, by far this is probably one of the greatest speeches in history. He just lays out in plain English the state of our nation at that time and more importantly, it comes off as amazingly prophetic as the circumstances he describes then seem quite similar to today. I've read it at least five times already and I'm inspired each and every time.

As usual she is right on the money! It is truly very dark days in our country when we continually allow the mass murder of innocents for the purpose of convenience and selfishness disguised as freedom and choice. It amazes me to no end that many continue to maintain the most backwards of ideas that abortion is actually benefitial to women, while reality says otherwise. Jesse Jackson Is Up To His Old Tricks....

Jackson, who helped make Martin Luther King Day a holiday, released a new study showing that five of the 20 states -- New Jersey, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee -- with the highest black populations had failed to hire any minority fund managers.

My question is, how many black firms are there in these states regardless of the population? I mean, personally, I don't really know very many black financial planners or money managers myself. How does he know that there are enough black owned firms to handle the business? Notice that the so called "study" did not note such findings, only the large population of blacks and the fact that there aren't any black firms hired by those states.

I am sure that once he gets more governors on board he will magically have a predetermined list of firms for them to choose from to hire. I must admit, the man is good...at being evil.

Lets hope the governors and officials of these states don't fall for his antics this time.

Lou Rawls, Dies At 72....

Another sad day indeed, soul singer extraordanaire Lou Rawls has died of lung cancer, he was 72 years old. He passed away in Los Angeles, Ca. All I can say is wow. Sometimes you forget that these "celebrities", even your favorite ones are still human and so it is still quite surprising when you hear that they've died. It also reminds me of my own mortality. I remember my parents listening to him, especially my mom, it seemed like every weekend.

I'll always remember his yearly telethons and of course the United Negro College Fund of which he is quite well known for.

I didn't know him personally so I hope he found the Lord prior to his passing.

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they? And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was"desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't. I don't care at all. I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle Eaststart caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling, slashed throat. I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques. I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs. I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care. When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college hazing incident, rest assured that I don't care. When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special"food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care. And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and -- you guessed it, I could not have said this any better myself! If you agree with this view point, pass this on to all your e-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this

Is it me or is this the ridiculous comment ever made regarding evolution? And what is "Nature's Solution" anyway? How did 'nature' decide that this would be the best way for babies to develop? I mean, wouldn't it make more sense to allow for larger more developed brains earlier on rather than settle for smaller brains that have to develop over a long period of time? Amazing!

And to think this man used to be our vice-president, not only that but ran for president of the United States as well! Whew!! Boy did we dodge a big one there.

JUST SAY NO....TO KWANZAA

The Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson of BOND (Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny) has launched a campaign this Christmas season called ' "Merry Christmas!" Not "Happy Kwanzaa!" Campaign' to combat the misinformation being spread around out there about Kwanzaa. The main purpose is to raise awareness among fellow Americans of the truth behind Kwanzaa and discourage its acceptance into the mainstream while encouraging the further celebration of Christmas.

I for one am grateful for such an endeavor. I think the first place this needs to start is in the church, especially the Black church where many have come to accept Kwanzaa as part of their normal worship services. Amazing! You know it is amazing when on one hand you have a holiday started by a crazed, radical socialist who was sent to prison for torchering two women and on the other hand a holiday inspired by the single most prolific person in history, who gave His own life that we may all live. Yet, many Blacks still choose to worship at the alter of ignorance and give credence to the former more so than the latter.

It boggles the mind!

As Mr. Peterson points out on the BOND website, Blacks have been scammed all throughout history by blacks and whites alike, but within the last 30 years many of these scams have come from the Black leadership and Kwanzaa is one of the biggest. Black people are falling for it hook, line sinker!

So what does Mr. Peterson suggest people do to combat this false indoctrination of Kwanzaa and help to encourage the celebration of Christmas more? Three things...

Write letters and e-mails to the corporations and stores asking them to say "Merry Christmas!" Not "Happy Kwanzaa!" Click here for a sample letter.
Stop wishing Black people "Happy Kwanzaa!" Instead wish them "Merry Christmas!"

While I believe this campaign is a good idea I disagree with one point made on the website regarding Black people hearing the truth about Kwanzaa. Mr. Peterson notes that if Blacks new the truth about the origins of this holiday that they would abandon it, I don't believe that would happen at all. I think many blacks would simply dismiss any rejection of the Kwanzaa holiday as racist. It would be almost a knee-jerk reaction to any contention raised as is the case with most "Black" issues today. So I applaud BOND's efforts in raising awareness of the ills of Kwanzaa but due to the enourmous power of Black Group Think, I don't have as much faith in the ability of the Black community to change their minds towards Christmas rather than Kwanzaa as Mr. Peterson seems to have.

The VAT Tax, fast track to economic slavery...

Ernest S. Christian executive director of the Center for Strategic Tax Reform and Gary Robbins of the Heritage Foundation write in an article titled Tax Code Reform Should Not Include VAT Tax on Foxnews.com about the proposed VAT tax that the Presidents advisery panel has considered as a means of reforming our current ridiculous tax code. This VAT(value added tax) would be a second tier taxation along with the current system. The difference according to this article? The VAT would be for those 90% of Americans under a certain income bracket, it would only tax goods and services and payrolls, no tax filing at the end of the year any more. While the 10% or so of the remaining Americans will continue to pay taxes as usual, by filing a yearly tax return.

My question here is , will the 10% of the population that still pays taxes still be subject to this VAT? If so, then they would be double taxed, paying yearly and throughout the year through normal activities of commerce as the rest of the 90%. As I mentioned in a previous post regarding the presidential tax advisery panel, this nonsense needs to stop. It is apparent that this panel is useless and is not looking out for the American people at all, only trying to see how much more can be siphoned from our hard earned incomes. Out of all of the myriad ideas presented to this committee, the one idea that involves adding more taxes, and complicating the system even more is the one they seriously consider! Either these people are incredibly dishonest and greedy or just plain stupid! Maybe both.

The Menacing Condaleeza Rice....

Lashawn Barber links to Bucktowndusty who exposed USA Today for doctoring a photo of Condaleeza Rice by making her look more menacing. Bucktowndusty even goes further using two images of O.J. Simpson, a before and after shot where in the after shot he looks far more menacing and sedicious. As a Graphic Artist I can attest to the fact that this is a common practice among politicos. I've personally witnessed such practices by local candidates out here in sunny Southern Cal. They purposely find the worst photo of their opponents, then, usually in a subtle manner after the first draft of the proof will continue to make suggestions throughout the revision process focused around the photo to make it darker, "grainier" or to fade it more, etc. Some though arent as round about or subtle and right off the bat request that their opponents photo be darker and sometimes smaller than his/her own within the campaign literature being designed. Amazing!

I did one once for a local candidate for the Los Angeles city council, who was a friend of the owner (my boss) of the print shop I worked in. He (the candidate) gave me a picture of himself and his opponent. Of course his picture was a nice 8x10 glossy 4 color headshot, but seeing how crappy the photo was of his opponent (a small almost wallet sized b/w image) I naively asked his staff for a better photo, adding that it will not reproduce properly during the press run. To my surprise I was pulled aside and clued in to what was happening by my boss. So I went ahead and finished the layout for the mailer and called it a day. Oh, in case you were wondering, this candidate was a Democrat to boot.

That was my first and last venture into political advertising. The entire process was utterly rediculous, I mean misleading and sometimes down right false information being printed in some of these flyers and mailers. I couldn't stand it. So hearing about USA Today pulling such tactics doesn't surprise me at all. Believe it or not it happens far more often then many realize. Just take a look through some political oriented mags or mailers that you receive sometime and you will begin to notice it more and more. Sort of the darkside of technology I guess.

Rosa Parks, Dead at 92.

Considered the one responsible for inspiring the modern Civil Rights movement, by a simple yet historically imperative act of defiance of unjust laws, Rosa Lee Parks has passed away in her home at age 92 of natural causes.

Its kind of funny, I just got off of a another thread with an individual where we debated and conversed about civil rights and particularly Brown vs. Board of Ed. As soon as I was done posting, I click over to Fox news to read that Rosa Parks has died. Wow. Her actions on that day back in 1955 is a perfect example of demanding ones just rights, resisting unjust laws while still accepting the consequences of that resistance. I always believed that it was staged by the NAACP as a means of protest(not that it was a bad thing if it were), similar to the lunch counter sit-ins, but according to Mrs. Parks,

"...the real reason of my not standing up was I felt that I had a right to be treated as any other passenger. We had endured that kind of treatment for too long."

Amen to that.

We need to all be like Rosa Parks, not in the sense of demanding civil rights but in demanding a fair, just and accountable government. Right now our freedoms are at stake, not from Jihadists, radical Muslims, or even communists-socialists but from our very own government, which continues to get bigger and bigger, and bigger. Taking away our hard earned resources in order to fund their own pet projects, initiatives, and feed their coffers. We all have to get tired of it and demand justice! I think Paul Jacob sums it up nicely in a recent op-ed on Townhall.com.

Our government, whether Republican or Democrat is not looking out for us. Most of our publicly elected officials are not in it for the best interest of the people but for their own individual interests. Mr. Jacobs article is a perfect example of this.

The Presidents Tax Reform Panel...a waste of tax payer funds

Neal Boortz is right on in his assessment of the President's Tax Reform Panel, it needs to be terminated, wiped clean and started anew with fresh minds and ideas!

I was just watching the C-Span feed of their last meeting on this past Tuesday, I was quite hopeful at the onset when I first flipped to the channel. I thought, its about time something was actually done about this ridiculous tax system. Then, as I listened, and listened, and listened to more and more and more of the same old excuses and rhetoric regarding government growth, preserving government programs, etc. I began to lose that zeal for this committee. Then what really got my goad was the discussion regarding adding another tax structure to the existing two that we already have, making our system of taxation even more cumbersome! The fact that it was even an option on the table is appalling in itself! Then they had the audacity to discuss tax policies of other foreign nations like Canada and the U.K.! What the heck are these people smokin? I wonder if this panel has even seriously researched alternative tax policies that may run counter to what we already have in place?

I think Mr. Boortz hones in on the real motives of this panel when he cites:

"The ability to manipulate tax laws so as to buy votes and reward large campaign contributors is not something we should not expect politicians to abandon without a fight."

So, probably a bad idea appointing politicos to a panel that is charged to seek out ways of eliminating one of the very things that continue to give them unfair and misused power.

This is the crux of the matter, there has to be people appointed that truly want change and not business as usual politics. They must be men and women who understand that true wealth is generated not by over taxation of individuals but by encouraging and allowing individuals to accumulate wealth without being punished for doing so. This new panel should include more citizens, business owners, policy experts and maybe, maybe a politician or two.

I agree with Mr. Boortz, dissolve this committee and put real, independent minded, honest Americans on it next time.

Blacks Are The Key For Change In America...

I am having sort of a brainstorm here so bare with me but I am about to make a statement that may offend some and others may agree, and yet still others will sit and wonder what the heck am I talking about?

Here it goes.

I believe that Black people can become the new moral compass for America. Meaning, in contrast, back in the day (50's & 60's, and earlier) it was considered that the "white" or "Eurocentric" culture was the dominant culture in America. Sort of a trickle down theory, whites established our societal norms if you will of what was moral and accepted and what wasn't. Then maybe midway through the Civil Rights movement there was a paradigm shift and you had the minority (i.e., Blacks) having a stronger influence on the over-arching American culture, especially in the areas of mainstream popular culture, i.e. Motown, Athletics, and even in the arts and literature, but especially in Music and Sports. America went from the Beattles to the Jackson 5, Ludacris and Kanye West, from Babe Ruth to Bo Jackson and Michael Jordan, all of a sudden the mainstream began to look more and more Black. Many of our heroes are not white any more, no more is it just the Lone Ranger or John Wayne, now it's all about the Rock, Will Smith, or P-Diddy! Yet, with this shift there is a down turn, especially with the infiltration of the negative aspects of the hip-hop culture, and gangs coupled with the growth of multi-culturalism, and moral relativism, into the white middle class, there is a decline in the strength of the family unit in both Black and White communities. There are many other factors for this to consider as well from the feminist movement, legalizing abortion and the introduction of the welfare state, to sexual promiscuity becoming more widely accepted, I could go on and on. Yet, this decline in the family structure in both Black and White communities, seems to have been spawned from first a top-bottom influence, i.e. radical feminism and multiculturalism first infiltrating middle class/upper class whites as specified before, and as a result, morality being defined downward, a relaxing of social norms takes place. It would then seem as if much of the negative aspects of "Black" or "urban" culture became more and more accepted as a result of this defining deviance down, infiltrated middle class and uppper middle class America. So, with the breakdown of the more afluent elements of society we have a natural breakdown of the less afluent, in inner-city, urban areas. Sort of the sh*t rolls down hill theory if you will.

Right now in this country I believe to a large extent the next shift needs to come from the Black community again and what has to happen is a shift back to the foundations that made Blacks strong, stable and even prosperous in spite of turbulent times. Times where the very laws of the land were designed to keep us subjugated under the feet of a ruling class. Now, here we are at a time where the very laws of the land are stacked, heavily (affirmative action anyone?) in favor of Blacks and yet Blacks have a deplorable record of performance within it's urban areas and even among the more afluent! 60 to 70% out of wedlock births, high divorce rates, within the church at that, high incarceration rate among Black men, and the most tragic of all, killing our own black babies at an alarming rate! What happened in New Orleans should have demonstrated several very important points to Black people; that racism is not the issue for Black folks anymore, poverty is not perpetuated by external forces, most Black leaders(you know who they are) are not looking out for the best interest of the Black community, and most importantly, relying on government aid to survive is detrimental to individuals and the greater community because it strips us of dignity and God-given freedoms.

Racism is not an issue, it never really was. The events that took place in New Orleans had nothing to do with race or class, it had to do with moral character. The leaders failed, from the white house, the governor, to the mayor, and down to the citizens trapped on roof tops or in the Superdome, all failed due to a lack of moral character which generates basic common sense(which is not so common anymore). The inability to plan for something ahead of time when you know it is coming. The inability to respond to crisis with organized thought and fortitude, the lack of patience, grace, and emotional strength in a time of great adversity, all demonstrate this point. Our own moral character is what's at stake here. Our ability to sustain our own families and as a result our communities based on the rudimentary understandings of right and wrong. This is all our fore-fathers had and yet they managed to prosper, achieving amazing successes in their lifetimes, from Garrett Morgan and Madam C.J. Walker to George Washington Carver and Booker T. Washington, Blacks were able to achieve amazing things during probably the worst time in American history. Today, we still witness great success among Blacks but at the same time great despair and tragedy, why? What is different now versus then? I believe the answer lies in adversity and moral character. My personal philosophy is that Blacks of moral standing tend to strive and excel in the mist of adversity and strife. When someone says you can't, a Black man stands up and says "yes I can!" Plain old, stubborn, will to not only overcome but resist being controlled, put down and kept down is what seems to be innate to the Black person of moral fortitude. Maybe this just isn't happening enough today, where our youth are not being challenged to strive, exceed, and excel. We keep reminding them of the "struggle" but they go out and see that there is no struggle, at least not overtly, watching rap videos about 'hos and bling' bling'. You see, the struggle, to me, was never against the "white man" but against evil, the evil within ourselves. I think Blacks back in the day some how understood that basic principle, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" Ephesians 6:12(KJV)

They understood that racism wasn't a product of the white man but the product of the devil as a means of keeping Black men and women from experiencing the blessings of God. There was an intellectual assent to God's will as well as a spiritual, but where is that same volition today? I speak not of the emotionalism many witness in so many churches, this only serves to weaken people even more so. Allowing them to be controlled and manipulated by corrupt preachers.
Do Black preachers and other leaders carry the same qualities that their forefathers had?

I think there needs to be a shift back to the basic foundations of good and evil, right and wrong, God vs. Satan. Blacks on a whole and individually need to get back to the foundations of God's word, stop questioning the scripture rather than embracing it, understanding it, loving the truth. I truly believe that if Blacks get back to these basic precepts of faith, holiness, love, and truth coupled with down-home common sense, which is not so common anymore, there would be a dramatic change in the dominant culture in America. Getting back to the basics and abandoning the liberalism that got Blacks into such a mess to begin with would begin to not only change popular culture but ultimately profoundly affect governmental policies as well.

The Black community is an untapped power that is being exploited by race hustlers, political pimps, and media whores ( You know who they are). Multi-Culturalism equals Moral Relativism

What was Yahoo! thinking when the company decided to cooperate with the Chinese government in digitally tracing the whereabouts of a Chinese citizen who attempted to send a message to the "outside world" regarding the communistic conditions in his country? Thanks to Yahoo this person, Shi Tao, will probably spend at least 10 years of his life in prison!

What was Yahoo's response as to why they cooperated? Their stance is that they must obey local laws and customs of a host country. No matter what those laws and customs are, regardless of the consequences.

Since Multiculturalism dictates that all cultures are equal in value, this type of reasoning makes perfect sense. Not to mention this is a clear example of corporate greed run amok, using Multiculturalism as the framework to justify such actions, moral relativism. Microsoft has been accused of such treachery as well. Listen to what one of their reps was quoted by the BBC News saying in defense of their policy of cooperation with a communist government:

"Microsoft works to bring our technology to people around the world to help them realise their full potential," said a Microsoft spokesperson."

How backwards, this guy completely contradicts himself, how can Microsoft be for developing a people's "full potential" and at the same time assist in squelching the very freedoms that would allow said potential to develop? I guess greed makes you confused.

No one is looking out for us.....

Our leaders in government and the courts in particular are not looking out for the well being of the citizens of this country at all. Case in point just the other day I read that federal judge Alvin Hellerstein ordered the government to release more pictures of the Abu Ghraib abuse. In spite of the fact that the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told this idiot judge during proceedings that the pictures would put our soldiers fighting over seas and maybe even right here in even more danger from terrorists! Not to mention, the chairman also mentioned that there is nothing new to be revealed in the photos anyway. Just more of the same that we've all seen before. Yet this judge ruled to release the picts under the guise that the American people have a right to know under the freedom of information act. This even though it is of an absolute certainty that if such information is released violence against our troops and civilians will most certainly ensue as was evident from the Newsweek Quoran debacle. What is worse is that there has been no outcry from anyone in the white house nor the pentagon regarding such a bone-headed ruling.

Now read the following and see just how screwed up our court system really is, Mark Tapscott over at Townhall.com writes about a recent decision by the courts to NOT release certain information regarding illegal (undocumented for you PC folks) convicted criminals. Apparently some journalists began to see a pattern with some of these criminals in that they were both illegal and many were guilty of violent crimes yet were released into society after time served rather than being deported as Federal law requires. In addition, it begs the question of whether any of these illegals are potential terrorists in waiting. So under the freedom of information act these journalists decided to investigate and have the files of these illegals released to the public citing that the American people have a right to know if the Federal government is doing its job of enforcing our laws. Well, guess what? The judge presiding over this case ruled that the right to privacy of the illegal convicts outweighed the need of the public to know whether or not our government is doing its job! Amazing!

The irony here is hard to miss and it becomes apparent that our government is screwed up beyond belief given that the judge in the illegal alien case was appointed by the current administration! Utter and complete chaos indeed. The decisions made in both scenarios defies logic and common sense! One can only hope that both of these decisions will be overturned upon appeal. It is almost as if these people want to put our national sovereignty in jeopardy, as if they want innocent Americans to suffer at the hands of terrorists. One can only wonder.

I live in Chatsworth California and over time I've come to find out that this city is considered the porn capital of the U.S., maybe even the world. Yet, driving down the street you wouldn't know it right off. Took me a couple of years through freelancing as a Graphic Designer to realize an unusual amount of video/dvd transfer companies, design companies who "specialize" in dvd menus for porn movies and print shops who print quite a bit of adult dvd wraps. For a couple of shops I 've found out that adult entertainment is about 90% of their business! Sad indeed.

As an aside, As a freelance Graphic Designer I always refuse to work on porn related material, period. I've lost out on quite a few job offers where after coming in for an interview I see that particular company does a great deal of porn. I always ask if I will be expected to work on porn related material and it is always yes. So I turn the project/job down. Some job leads don't always specify if you will be working on porn material, I've come to find that the ones who need dvd authoring, menu creation/design, or a great deal of photo retouching are the porn oriented graphic firms. I have come to simply ignore those.

Fire At My Gates...

I can see the fires on the hills of Chatsworth headed south westward from my balcony. I've never seen the fires get so close before. I pray it doesn't get any worse, the winds are still quite strong and not helping at all. If you haven't been watching the news or just don't live out here in Southern California, there are a series of fires taking place tonight, one of which are in Chatsworth (San Fernando Valley Area).

With the recent events in Louisiana and Texas and now with the fires going on right here practically in my back yard, I've been looking into developing a better survival plan for myself and kids. Right now we have your basic safety plan for fire or earthquake, all of the emergency numbers and where to go and who to call in case of....But after hearing about what happened in New Orleans with the lawlessness that broke out among the people, I am convinced now more than ever that I need to prepare myself to protect my children from those that would seek to harm me or them for whatever reason. I've thought about what I would do if...You fill in the blank and for the most part it never ends with me shaking hands with the other guy.

So as a result of this "new found" concern for the safety and well being of my children I am shopping around for a gun to use for protection. Nothing fancy just something that I can learn quickly, relatively light and easy to use without sacrificing safety. In addition as of this week I have begun stock piling on foods and basic supplies, i.e. first aid stuff, matches, extra water and the like.

I guess what I've realized is that in spite of all of the multi-culti mumbo jumbo that is constantly spewed out via the MSM and all, people are still people, sinful and capable of great atrocities. Especially now, for the most part, many people are only constrained by the threat of retaliation from law enforcement. As New Orleans demonstrated to the world a very ominous question, what happens when law enforcement has deteriorated? What happens when said law enforcement completely abandons the rule of law for themselves and join in the chaos? Or worse yet, completely abandon their posts and therefore the people? How are we as citizens to protect ourselves if we rely solely on government instituted law enforcement officers to do it for us?

I for one do not want to find out the hard way, and as I was looking on the internet for information regarding gun laws I decided to drop in on the new Townhall.com website and lo and behold Professor Mike Adams has written an article, responding to a readers inquiry, recommending several guns for beginners who wish to "expand their horizons" so to speak. into the world of firearms. Now I have a place to begin!

I'll keep you posted as to my progress in finding a firearm.

Lashawn Barber of Lashawn Barber's corner has posed some questions for those of you out there who profess the many attributes of choice for all, in particular those of the homosexual persuasion and supporters thereof. In regards to abortion and particularly the parents ability to literally choose not only the sex of their potential child but to "screen" it for any potential disfunctions, deseases or deformities. In light of this possibility she asks:

If a significant number of women begin choosing to abort their babies because doctors discovered a “gay gene,” would your stance on the “right to choose” change or shift in any way? Would the number of women killing these “defective” babies make a difference? Is one potentially gay dead baby one too many?

Interesting questions. I feel though that the answers would be even more fascinating.

I know I haven't blogged here for quite some time, for those few out there who check in on this blog only to find nothing new, thank you for continuing to do so. I've been taking care of some personal matters that required my utmost attention. Maybe I'll blog about it later on. There is so much going on in the world right now I don't know where to begin my comments. Just discovered a website called happynews.com, kinda obvious what they are all about but here is their misson statement or credo as they called it anyway:

Amen to that! I'll give them credit for having the gonads to correct themselves. Quite refreshing actually. Using the word "insurgents" has been a pet peeve of mine as I stated a post earlier this year addressing Ted Kennedy's poorly misguided speech to the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies about the timeline for military forces to pull out of Iraq. I stated

"Does anyone else see the blatant idiocy of such actions? I mean, whose side is this man on? Who is he rooting for? Referring to the terrorist as "insurgents", pointing out that most of them are home grown... so what if they are Iraqi or foreign? They are still terrorists!"

Teacher Claims Political Discrimination...

JULY 21--A New York woman claims that she was forced from her teaching post by an elementary school principal who objected to her Republican activism and last year ordered the removal of a portrait of President George W. Bush from the educator's Long Island classroom. In a federal discrimination lawsuit, Jillian Caruso, 26, claims that she was improperly forced to resign her job by Birch Lane Elementary School principal Joyce Becker-Seddio, the wife of state Assemblyman Frank Seddio, a Brooklyn Democrat.

Amazing! You know, I wouldn't be surprised if that was exactly why this teacher was fired. You'd be surprised at the reactions one gets when expressing any views other than liberal in a public education classroom. I've had many a strange stares and glances when I've "slipped" and actually told the truth some some of the teachers at my kid's school. It is nice to know that there are SOME conservative teachers out there.

Heather MacDonald comes correct over at the Immigration Blog regarding the recent shooting and killing of an illegal El Salvador man and his 18-month old daughter here in Los Angeles. Believe it or not, the spanish speaking community, particularly the illegal El Salvadoran groups, are blaming the police for the death of this little girl in spite of the obvious and well known, proven fact that this idiot of a father used his own daughter as a shield while firing on police! The mother has hired a lawyer and has threatened a lawsuit against the LAPD. But thats not all...what really blows my mind about this is that she(the mother) along with another daughter were the ones who called the police on the father in the first place!! Amazing!

I could say more but I would just be ranting, I don't feel like ranting today.

The Real Same Sex Marriage Debate Right Here...

Check out this must read by Bryce Christensen, Ph.D. a contributing editor to The Howard Center for Family, Religion and Society website. He lays out the real "skinny" on why homosexuals are going after marriage rights and puts this issue within the proper context, ultimately that the gay marriage issue isn't about preserving the institution of marriage, it is to keep marriage from becoming an even bigger mockery it already is. I'll let you read the rest for yourself but it is a must read and a great commentary on how marriage as an institution has declined in this country. Much of it you may already know but his premise regarding combatting the homosexual agenda of same sex marriage, for me, gives a refreshing and more realistic perspective on why such an agenda cannot be allowed to succeed. He makes a striking observation regarding why homosexuals even want to be associated with the imagery of marriage and it has nothing to do with a change in their perspectives of their behavior but in a change in how marriage itself is perceived by all.

In reality the same sex marriage debate is more like a last ditch effort for this country and the Christian church in particular to finally get it right or else.

Too Much Misinformation....

T-Steel from Palm Trees In The Ghetto talks about stem cell research citing how President Bush is supporting supposedly theoretical stem cell research but won't back research that has shown promise. According to an article he linked to, the GOP is considering legislation that will spell out some guidelines for researching utilizing Embryonic Stem Cells. Basically his argument implies that the act of researching to cure diseases and ailments is like a war and therefore some sacrifices have to be made to benefit the majority.

There is a lot of misinformation in this article he linked to regarding stem-cell research. It paints the stem cell debate with a broad brush and depicts ESC (embryonic stem cell) research as being more promising than any research has shown. Nor does it really explain the fact that ASC (adult stem cell) research has shown far more progress and results in many areas of affliction, including paralysis. ASC research hasn't shown the same promise or testing results, if anything there is more theory behind ESC and more fact to support ASC.

While I agree with T-Steel that in times of war, certain sacrifices are made for the "greater good", yet equating war between nations with a "war" against disease comes off as disingenuous. It is similar to the so called "war on drugs" or "war on poverty" or the "war on terrorism". You cannot wage a war against an ambiguous "enemy" or concept. You will come to find that you are actually fighting yourself. So a war against disease in general isn't possible. Yet, performing research with a specific goal of eradicating or at least curbing the affects of a given disease or physical ailment is possible and praise-worthy. What I find fascinating is that many diseases can be prevented simply by healthy living, good diet and exercise as well as a healthy moral lifestyle. In so far as other genetically acquired diseases, much of the same can be true when it comes to combating them or at least curbing the effects. You don't hear about that though from the U.S. Health department, the MSM, or from many drug companies, research organizations or your own doctor for that matter. Gee, I wonder why?

But I digress, the core of T-Steel's argument seems to be that fighting disease makes the sacrifice of these embryonic lives worth it, the needs of the many out weighing the few and all, yet one key difference is ignored. In times of war between countries, men are able to make the choice of whether or not to fight and sacrifice their own lives, in this instance, it is quite apparent that these innocent lives are not given the ability to choose. They don't have the ability. We are choosing for them. Not only is such a thing unethical but it is quite strange that many people, especially blacks, tend to support such a notion in spite of our own history with such a practice of having others choose our destinies for us. Can anyone say Tuskegee experiment? The African slave trade? Jim Crow? As far as anyone else, you have the holocaust as a reference as well. So what is the deal? Why is it that it appears that so many people support Embryonic Stem Cell research? My guess is a lack of knowledge. It seems that most people do not take the time to educate themselves with the facts. They take their cues from the MSM and your friendly neighborhood politician.

In addition to the above moral and ethical reasons for not supporting Embryonic Stem Cell research there are practical reasons as well. Number one being that ESC hasn't shown any major or significant progress in any of the areas that it's proponents claim promises of healing in. An excerpt from Wikipedia to drive home this point...

Adult stem cells have successfully treated over 100 medical conditions including blindness [16], Krabbe's disease [17], diabetes [18], Parkinson's disease [19], acute renal failure [20], and sickle cell anemia [21]. Opponents of embryonic stem cell research have thus argued that embryonic stem cell funding restrictions in the U.S. are not significantly impeding the overall advancement of stem cell research, and that even without the ethical concerns regarding embryonic stem cells, public health funds should focus on extending adult stem cell research successes. During the U.S. presidential election, 2004, Senator John Edwards claimed that if candidate John Kerry was elected and embryonic stem cell research was expanded, movie actor Christopher Reeve would get out of his wheelchair and walk. [24]

All of the above cases are documented and no similarly documented progress from ESC research, yet we have countless efforts and demands by different groups for funding from the federal government. Why is that? What business does the government have funding such research anyway? Why not seek other areas for money, such as the private sector? I'll answer my own question, because there is no return on investment for ESC. Let me put it this way, I am a business man, when someone approaches me with a business opportunity I first evaluate it to see if it will bring me a reasonable ROI (return on investment). There are several ways to determine this, one of the simplest is to see if others have tried it and find out what their results were. If good, then its a go, if bad, then it is see yah later! The same is true for any investment whether it be real estate, purchasing a car, or even buying groceries. ESC research has failed in the private sector for that reason, as a result very little funding is available and due to the lack of progress made with it as well as the moral implications of cloning, many investors don't want to touch it, so the future for ESC is bleak, hence the efforts by many bio companies to push for federal funding. There simply isn't any immediate or short term ROI. Plain and simple. Now, let me ask this, if the private sector doesn't want to touch it then why should our tax dollars flip the bill?
It is up to the average citizen to educate themselves about this issue before it is too late. Personally, I believe at the core of this whole issue is the desire to clone human beings for whatever purpose. I believe this is the truth of the matter. It is not about finding cures for diseases, there are already countless remedies for many of the ailments that people suffer from, including cancer and even AIDS. You don't hear about it due to the medical establishment being overly regulated by the government and many health practitioners not wanting the general public to know at the risk of losing business, as well as drug companies for the same reason. At the risk of sounding too much like a conspiracy theorist, it is about advancing a small group of individual's personal agenda, what that agenda is, I don't know.

"Do we believe that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few anymore? Have we ever? Cause if we don't feel that way, how are we ever going to rid or limit ourselves of various afflictions?"

To answer your question T-Steel, I don't think it has ever been accepted that this phrase means the needs of the many are to be at the expense of the few, especially if it involves the loss of life of those precious few. We will never get rid of disease or sickness, the reason being...that is for another day and another conversation.

I remember seeing Billy Graham as a kid on television all of the time. My dad used to watch him all of the time even though he never really went to church, I guess he would have his church in front of the t.v. It was funny because I just didn't get why he was so fascinating to my father, I was always bored to tears when listening to Mr. Graham. Of course, I was just a kid then, didn't really know any better. Now that I am grown I must say that when I listen to Billy Graham speak...I am still bored to tears! While I've never been to a world famous Billy Graham crusade or have seen him speak in person, I always believed he was a good man of character, a strong man of God. I figured, a professed Christian man with that much influence on so many people can't be a bad thing, can it? The way my parents would speak about him, you'd think he could walk on water. Due to some unfortunate encounters with wicked, amoral pastors, I eventually grew up from such a notion. Yet, it still surprised me to read that not only did the Clintons appear at Billy Graham's last crusade and actually speak, but that Mr. Graham returned complements to both and made some, how do you say, "interesting" statements to Bill and Hillary.

As reported by Newsmax.com and Yahoonews, apparently Billy Graham and the Clintons are good 'ol buddies and friends. After Bill Clinton gushed over Billy Graham, citing his stand against segregation back in the day, Billy Graham commented that Bubba Clinton should become an evangelist and allow "his wife to run the country."! What!!???Huh??? Is this man for real? Either Mr. Graham's true colors have come through or he is a lot sicker than he lets on. It is one thing to be cordial, even complementary, as he told them they were a nice couple and all, but to suggest that a man such as Bill Clinton become an evangelist for Christ, without first admonishing him to repent, simply defies all reason. Then to go further by suggesting, even half-jokingly, that Hillary Clinton (probably the angriest woman on the planet) should run this country....! Words just can't describe...Amazing!

I don't know where this statement came from or if it really is Andy Rooney but I like it and agree with about 99.9% of it, just to be difficult. As a disclaimer, the following is probably not Andy Rooney given that he typically has come off as more liberal, even though I am sure many far left leaning liberals would consider him more conservative. Some have speculated that this is the words of George Carlin the comedian, popular for such quotes as..."Well, if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never mention that part to us, do they?"

I am posting the following here because I can concurr with it and believe it to be true, no matter who said it.

Unless you've been in a cave over the past couple of weeks you know about the uproar created by remarks from Sen. Durbin regarding GITMO and its treatment of detainees captured on the battlefield. This is in addition to statements made by the human rights organization Amnesty International referring to GITMO as the "Gulag of our times".

Needless to say, Sen. Durbin is either seriously misguided or completely dishonest. I choose the latter, although he did finally apologize. As far as Amnesty Int'l, these guys are idiots, plain and simple.

What in God's holy name is wrong with our country? This morning on the Today show I saw a Crpl. Jonathan Reese and Spl. Sean O'Shea being interviewed by Matt Lauer, not for their bravery on the battlefeild, no, not to get a read on their opinion of the war in Iraq, nuh uh, not even to give these gentlemen an opportunity to speak with their family, who I am sure misses them a great deal while they are serving. Nah! They were being interviewed because they have the "priveledge" or so you would think, of guarding Saddam Hussein. Yes, they have been gaurding the brutal, evil dictator for about 10 months and were on the Today Show to give their first hand account of what Hussein is like behind bars.

I have to admit, when I heard the plug I was interested, foolishly thinking that I would hear some type of reinforcement of the fact that this man is going to be tried for his atrocities against his own people, that while being treated humanely, these soldiers are eager to see justice meted out towards this man. Nope. The talk about their experience with this brutal man was as if they were guarding the Pope or something. It seemed that the interview consisted of Matt Lauer asking about what he was fed and that Saddam Hussein expressed some dissapointment in the fact that the guards didn't say goodbye before they were reassigned. Amazing!

What is going on with the MSM? Have they completely lost their minds? Are they that stupid or are they really against America winning this war? It baffles the mind sometimes to realize some of the foolishness being uttered by high profile figures in the press and among politicos, from GITMO being compared to gulags to embarrasing photos of Saddam being considered cruel, and now we have the Today show running a PR campaign for Saddam Hussein.

Parental Rights & Responsibility

According to the American Family Association there is some controversy arising in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, where some parents are upset because the local school has administered an explicit sex survey to sixth-graders. The survey solicits answers to questions such as "How old were you when you had sexual intercourse for the first time?" and "The last time you had sexual intercourse, did you or your partner use a condom?" Amazing! What is really got these parents in an uproar is the fact that they were not notified of the survey prior to it being administered nor were they allowed, once they became aware, to review the survey for appropriateness. The reasoning being used by the school administrators for not showing the survey to the parents is laughable, citing the fear that the parents would "misinterpret" the questions! What!!! And they aren't sharing the same concern over the sixth graders possibly "misinterpreting" the questions??!! How incredibly anal and down right evil can you get?!

Any "real" parents out there who are as concerned and outraged at such foolishness as I am, please click here and take the online poll asking whether or not you agree with the school's choice to not allow parents to view the sex survey material at the American Family Association website. Needless to say , my answer to that is a resounding NO! I do not agree with such nonsense. What could these people possibly gain by giving 10 and 11 year old kids a survey about whether or not they are having sex? And what is the true reason why the administrators aren't allowing parents to review this material for appropriateness? If they really believe that anyone is going to accept the explanation of having a fear that the parents will misinterpret the questions, then they obiously have a very low opinion of the parents of these students. Sad indeed. My guess is that they know that if they would allow the parents to review the survey prior to passing it out to the kids, that there would be an overwhelming objection to such an excorcise.

Just another example of the good ol' guv'ment steppin in to do what parents seemingly do not want to do anymore, take care of your children! Teach them! Guide them! Discipline them for pete's sake! This is what we've come to, the state has the gall to step in and teach our children things that we, for various reasons, would not teach in the same manner and at stages in their development that is just all too inappropriate. If anything, giving thes kids such a survey will only serve to encourage rather than discourage sexual activity.

Hypothetical questions...just something to think about.

Question one: You are walking down the street and happen to pass by a home, looks decent enough, simi-clean and nice yard. All of a sudden you hear horrible screaming from inside, what do you do!

Question two: You are at a friends home, this friend has a small child (maybe 2 or 3yrs). You are chatting it up, laughing, having a good ol'time. You settle down a bit in the living room with your friend and notice the little one wandering into the kitchen where there is a hot stove on, what do you do?

Question three: Once again you are out and about in your neighborhood, maybe on a job or just a brisk walk around the block and you happen to pass some neighbors walking together, a woman, and a man and another woman in a wheelchair. The man is pushing the woman in the wheelchair, while the first woman walks behind. The wheel-chair-bound woman appears to be paralyzed, at least from the waist down and looks to have down syndrome. She comes off as non responsive. As they are passing by you, you witness the man pushing the wheel-chair firmly slap the paralyzed woman in the head, once, then twice, then a third time, laughing afterwards....what do you do if anything at all?

Last Question: You somehow find yourself standing in an abortion clinic, not just in the lobby or one of the waiting rooms but right in the operating room and lo and behold, a young pregnant woman is escorted in, she is maybe 7 or 8 months, placed on the operating table and is prepped for "surgery". The expecting, reluctant mother asks the nurse if the "it" will feel any pain, the nurse responds with confident "no" answer. Then the nurse assures her that the procedure won't take long and she will be up and about in no time at all, then walks out. A few minutes later the doctor walks in, scrubbed up...? and gets ready to start the procedure...the question to you is...well of course, what do you do if anything at all?

For all of you BDP or Public Enemy fans out there, remember the phrase "stop the violence" back in the '80's? Well, think about that when you read this link. Just something to think about.

Reverse Racism?

“I approached the registration table and was greeted by a very friendly fellow who looked me in the eye and said, ‘Are you black?’” said Parnell. “I told him that I'm not and he told me that the conference was only for people who were black and so I wasn't able to register to attend the conference.”

Such is the report by Brian Parnell a social worker from Bakersfield California, as reported by KGET.com, he attempted to attend a conference held by the National Association of Black Social Workers but was rejected due to his color. Amazing! So much for progress. Black people are trifling! Imagine if this were in the reverse and a black man, or better yet, a black woman tried to get into an all white conference and was told she couldn't because she was black or because she was a female? All hell would break loose and you know it. It would be front page news and she would be on Oprah in a heart beat!

Personally, I could care less if this man was excluded due to his skin color. I really don't believe any private entity should be forced to include anyone, they have the right to exclude whomever for whatever reasons. What makes this a big deal is that the National Association of Black Social Workers is a non-profit organization and therefore they could lose their tax-exempt status.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter, I doubt if he would have learned anything productive that would actually assist him in his job. Most likely this conference was filled with a lot of pandering and ego stroking of the so called accomplishments of black social workers in the "community". If he really wants to learn about how to deal with blacks read up on Tomos Sowell, Walter Williams, and definately check out Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson at bondinfo.org. I gaurantee he will be far more effective as a social worker having garnered info from these individuals than from this black social workers conference.

By way of Lashawn Barber I came across a column written by a Jon Qwelane from www.news24.com. Take a gander at it and you will see that America is really evil and deserved 9/11. Not only that but the incidents at Abu Graib and GITMO were atrocities and barbaric in nature. Although, as far as GITMO is concerned, nothing has proven to be true.

Needles to say I found Mr. Qwelane's column is extremely misguided and totally disregards reality. While he mentions Abu Graib and GITMO, detainees who are prisoners of war, enemy combatants captured doing acts of war, he fails to acknowledge that Al Queda and other Muslim extremists groups have beheaded numerous individuals who for the most part were civilians and not part of any military group, remember Nick Berg? Not to mention the scores of Iraqis murdered in cold blood by terrorists bombers. Yet, no outrage is shared by the likes of this person, just blatant, misguided, and ignorant diatribes about how evil America is, even having the audacity to refer to Abu Graib as "barbaric torture"! Amazing! But beheading innocent civilians is fighting for justice right? I don't see anyone here in America packing their bags to move anywhere else? But I do see scores of individuals from all countries and walks of life trampling their way into this country. Why? So that they can become victims of a racist, evil Conservative regime? I think not.

At the beginning of the column Mr. Qwelane asks what does America have against Muslims, but this is the wrong question. For truly it should be what do Muslims extremists have against the West? Mr. Qwelane, I strongly advise you to get a clue.

As Miss Barber points out, Osama has lots of "friends".

On a similar note, Evan Sayet writes about why Democrats supported Clinton when he went to war in Bosnia but not President Bush when going into Iraq. As usual he makes a very strong case for why Democrats come off as hypocritical idiots more often than not. He writes:

All of these efforts were, of course, disingenuous. Clearly if the Democrats truly believed it was "wrong" to remove the leader of a sovereign nation they would have been marching in the streets screaming "No Blood For Sex" when the previous president launched wars against Bosnia and Kosovo removing from power the sovereign leader Slobodan Milosevic.

Excellent point here. I wonder if other so called "average" Americans see the inconsistency here? It seems that every liberal "friend" or family member I know believes President Bush to be wrong but have amnesia when it comes to Clinton and his escapades in the oval office. Speaking to them, you would have to believe that all of societies ills are due to the evil Bush administration and his non-stop pandering to corporate interest, mostly oil of course. Amazing!

Whats up with teens?

John Gibson of Foxnews.com did an interview with Eric Braverman, Author, "THE EDGE EFFECT" regarding teenagers and their apparent inability to do two things at once, specifically to do regular household chores. You can read the transcript yourself but basically Mr. Braverman offered an explanation as to why kids, teens in particular, seem to have a difficult time these days in carrying out responsibility. An example of one of his reasons when asked by Gibson why teens can't do two things at once:

ERIC BRAVERMAN: Teenagers have an adult body and a child's brain. They just don't develop working memory and logic and planning and reasoning until they're about 17 years old.

Is this true? Do kids not develop basic reasoning, planning and the like until they are 17? I find this very difficult to agree with. I mean, if a kid can learn to play Super Mario Sunshine and not only advance throughout the intricate levels within the game but master it and then beat the game altogether, then I think they can figure out how to do homework, wash a dish, or mow the lawn, or take out the garbage and be able to do it daily without being told to do it several times. Am I wrong here?

My son at 3 years old knows not to touch the oven because it can burn him, "too hot daddy, don't touch" he says. I might ad that he has never touched the stove, nor has he set foot into the kitchen without my supervision, yet from my clear and sturn instructions he knows not to touch it. I've personally witnessed him figure out how to stand on a stool to reach the light switch, or a favorite toy off of the shelf as well as stop right at the edge of a jungle gym platform apparently knowing that he may fall...planning? reasoning?

One point made that I do agree with is when Braverman referred to all of the distractions of today affecting the memory or "brain power" of these kids. I agree with that sentiment, video games, t.v., etc. seem to only sap the brain power out of our youth and causes a great deal of distraction and attention problems. I've seen this first hand with my own kids. This is where the parents need to step in and regulate such activity. Balance it out with reading, writing excorcises and family games. For me, I eliminated video game playing during the week and Saturday. Every Saturday me and my two boys spend the day first reading a good book, either together or separately, I may even have my older son do a book report on whatever he reads. We then spend the remainder of the day at the park. We close out the evening with either more reading or a game or we may watch a movie together as well. During the week its homework for him and for the younger one, learning time (i.e. alphabets, numbers, reading, maybe some games). As for television watching, one hour devoted to Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune during the week, out here in Ca. they come on back to back, Jeopardy is the favorite in my house! Then its bed time. A typical week, doesn't always work out that perfect but I believe it makes a difference. I've noticed a greater level of concentration and apprehension when they read.

Like I said, I agree with the points about distractions but Braverman sounds like he is making excuses for the lack of good parenting and slothful behavior from teens, rather than actually giving any real solutions to these problems by addressing the actual causes.

More about kids, this time bullies and bills: Michael the Archangel blogs about a new school code against bullying that seems to really spell out something that should be obvious to every other clear thinking human being on this planet. Yet, for some reason school officials feel they have to include "All" of these discriptions to be fair I suppose.

Paul Jacob of limitedgov.org comments here about the lower house of Texas's legislature passing a bill banning "sexually suggestive" routines by pep squads at high school events, can we say going a bit too far with the legistlating morality bit!? What will be next, passing a bill banning chewing gum in school classrooms? This is why schools need to be privatized, let the people govern themselves while the government do its real job, like protect our borders from terrorists, gangs and drug-runners. Sounds like somebody needs something to do up in Texas.

05/24/05 Even More About Kids: Lashawn Barber links to a Foxnews.com article about Lionel Tate who around 6 years ago killed a 6-year-old Tiffany Eunick by jumping on top of her from a stair case. He was tried and convicted and plead guilty to murder but only served 3 years and was put on house arrest for a year and a 10 year probation period followed. Apparently he has struck again, pulling a gun on a pizza delivery guy when he arrived at the door of a friends apartment. Amazing!

By way of Lashawn Barber, Hubes Cube blogs about an effort taking place by several Penn State students to raise $10 million dollars to research American White racism. Apparently they didn't get the memo about how we already know that there are racist whites in this country and probably always will be. Not only that but there are actually racists blacks, hispanics, and Asians as well. (Gasp!)

Personally, I fail to see the dilemma here. What is so bad about having pressure to prove ones' self? Isn't this what many others, especially high achievers, whether black, white or otherwise, go through? Isn't the pressure to prove yourself to your peers and superiors one of the things that drives great men to do great things? I mean , come on now, it is apparent that this racism they speak of isn't very affective given that they are where they are now. Hubes Cube points out that maybe this pressure is due to affirmative action preferences given to blacks which cuases a sense of insecurity for those receiving it, doubt and suspicion of one's abilities on from peers and others who didn't receive these preferences. I tend to agree with this as well.

Something tells me that they will get their $10 million with relative ease given the current PC, Multi-Culti climate that exists today. Sad indeed. When will blacks wake up and grow up? The rest of the article talks of there intended efforts in mentoring kids (heaven help them) and focusing on American White racism because it is contstantly "glossed" over and never really studied. I guess all of those Pan-African, African-American, and Afro-American studies classes in colleges across the nation are still missing the mark. Amazing!

Questioning Authority, Should Christians Do This...

Messy Christian has another good post on Spiritual Abuse, citing that those who have gone through it should not feel guilty for being duped or betrayed for we are all human and capable of such things. If one comes to you to open up about their abuse she suggests that you listen more than advise, which I for one agree with, and don't condemn or rebuke them in any way at the moment. I agree with that also. She expresses a special contempt for the one who simply tells this hurting individual to not question the pastor, just pray for him/her. Which lead to an even longer discussion on pastors and questioning their authority.

I've commented on this particular subject before in regards to false teachings about prosperity and so forth, so it shouldn't be of any surprise to know that I encourage all Christians to always question their Pastors. Never rest on the word of one man no matter how perfect he may appear to be. Personally, I don't believe churches should have pastors, at least not in the capacity that they do now. There should be some level of leadership, but it should be a leadership that can be checked by the people and not held to unrealistic standards. Unfortunately, there are those who hold pastors in an unnatural, and unrealistic level of prominance. This is dangerous indeed, for it causes that Christian to become weak. This is the condition of much of the black church today, many Black Christians follow these faith and prosperity preachers and hold them up as being divine hearers from God. Yet, the evidence does'nt support such a notion, given the huge chasm that exists between what these men and woman preach and teach and what is actually taking place within the community. For example the outrageous amount of out-of-wedlock births, abortions, and high crime rate among black youth. It is blindingly obvious that the words being preached by these individuals is of no affect and good for nothing. There is no power in them.

Blacks need to dismiss these false leaders and embrace Christ as their leader in all things, being lead only by God's spirit. Then we will see real leaders rise up among us who will be true followers of God's word. Don't get me wrong, there are some Black leaders out there who are already doing this, who are standing up as real men and women of God, doing what is right. The Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson comes to mind. Who are not using there authority as a means of subjugating the masses but as a means of delivering truth and being used by the God to set men and woman free. This is what real, Christian leadership ought to be doing.

I challenge all church going blacks and black Christians especially to really listen to their pastors, question them on today's big topics and find out where they stand. Challenge them to step up and start making a real difference within their respective communities.

Related topics: Speaking of false leaders, Jesse Jackson has come to town to offer spiritual counseling and legal support for the family of Winston Hayes who was shot four times after having 120 rounds fired at him by L.A. County Sheriff Deputies on Monday night. Officers said he fit a discription of an assailant accused of shooting two deputies. When he would not pull over at the request of the police, the officers opened fire. Several of the rounds hit homes and windows in the neighborhood, luckily no one else was hit, save one deputy. Mr. Jackson still calls this a hate crime stating "This is in fact a hate crime,"... "It is a violation of Mr. Hayes' civil rights." Now given that Mr. Hayes would not comply with police orders to pull over and actually rammed a police vehicle, and later admitted to being under the influence of drugs, I would say no ones "civil rights" have been violated, he got what was coming to him. I believe Mr. Jackson is doing what is commonly called "ambulance chasing", he is merely going where the fire is, even if he has to first start one before putting it out. Mabye we should call him the arsonist Jesse Jackson instead of reverend. Notice he is not coming out in support of the residents who experienced property damage nor is he commenting on the fact that the Police department has made arrangements to pay for the damage and has apologized to the residents.

More on Tithing and the church

The Messy Christian has a wonderful and thought provoking post about mega-churches and the monies spent on these massive buildings. I think it relates quite well to what I am addressing here regarding tithing. For many of these church facilities, they were well financed by the hard earned tithes of the congregation. Yet, is this what tithes were meant for? Does having a large building that can house hundreds, maybe even thousands of people help to advance the Gospel? A point that Messy mentioned really stuck in my mind, she said

"The problem is the way we do church: 'the world coming to the church' rather than 'the church going to the world'. Thus, the need to have a centre to do ministry becomes urgent, and thus the focus on buildings."

That hits the nail on the head doesn't it. I mean, what did Jesus command before he ascended? To go out into the world right? Are we fulfilling this command when we build mega churches to house congregants? Are there any churches out there that recruit, train, and send out congregants into the world to spread the Gospel? Wouldn't such a method be closer to what Jesus commanded?

TITHING...

'A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD. If a man redeems any of his tithe, he must add a fifth of the value to it. The entire tithe of the herd and flock—every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd's rod—will be holy to the LORD. He must not pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution. If he does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute become holy and cannot be redeemed.'

Leviticus 27:30-33

Is it biblical to tithe today? Are we as Christians mandated to continue the tithe and if so, who should we be paying this tithe to? The churches, ministers and clergy? In the scripture above the tithe is defined as fruit, trees, and cattle or flock (animals), it doesn't mention anything about money being given to God or it being holy to Him. One might say, well there was no form of currency at the time, people relied on the trade of goods and cattle as currency. That may be true yet in another scripture it states:

Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. Eat the tithe of your grain, new wine and oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the LORD your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the LORD your God always. But if that place is too distant and you have been blessed by the LORD your God and cannot carry your tithe (because the place where the LORD will choose to put his Name is so far away), then exchange your tithe for silver, and take the silver with you and go to the place the LORD your God will choose. Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice. And do not neglect the Levites living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own.

So, apparently there was some form of currency in the form of silver that could have been used for tithing, yet it was only used as a contingency. This particular passage also answers another question posed earlier, who shoud the tithe go to? From what I read here it should go to me to be used to honor and rejoice in the presence of God. Interesting.

I bring up the subject of tithing because it is something that, from my experience, is an untouchable doctrine within the Christian church, specifically the black church. Whenever questions arise regarding tithes one is quickly rebuked and told that they just should be paid. Many invoke Malichi 3:8 saying that you will be cursed with a curse if tithes are not paid. I even heard and have seen first hand ministers give whole sermons on Malichi 3:8 telling the congregation that if they do not give their tithes and offerings then they too will be cursed by God. Yet, I disagree with such a premise, how is it that one can take a scripture that isn't referring to the new church and somehow apply it or really mis- apply it, to today's church? It wasn't written to us but it was written for us. The Lord was not speaking to the church but to Israel, specifically the Levitical Priests who were responsible for collecting and giving the tithes and burnt offerings as Numbers 18:24-28 describes an order given to Moses to instruct the Levites (priesthood) on collecting the tithes(fruits, oils, animals) from the people and then honoring the Lord with a tenth of that tithe. So Malichi 3:8 cannot be applied to today in the sense that it has been by many, meaning, the true point of the scripture is missed if we focus on the tithing aspect from a monetary perspective. The crux of Malichi is regarding the heart of the priests not being with God, but having a contempt for God and His word. Demonstrating this contempt by only giving the bare minimum as burnt offerings. You can parallel this with the situation with Cain back in Genesis 4, Cain's sacrifice was unacceptable due to his contempt for his brother and unwillingness to give God what was right as opposed to Abel who gave God the fat portions of his flock.

Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought SOME of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. But Abel brought FAT PORTIONS from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

Genesis 4:2-5 (emphasis mine)

So the plight of Cain wasn't that he didn't give but how and what he gave to God. He did not give God his best nor was it from a contrite heart but one of contempt for God. Keep in mind here that I am not saying we should not tithe at all, but that it seems to be done in the wrong spirit given to the wrong people, and for the wrong reasons. I've stated on this blog before that we should not give to God in order to get from him. This is a distorted relationship to have. What if marriage was designed in such a way where each only gave love and support to the other only to get something in return? I think we've all seen the result of such an arrangement in many households today. The Lord doesn't need anything from us for all belongs to Him anyway.

Well, I will end here and pick this up tomorrow. There is a lot more to this that I want to touch on.

The Patients Are Running The Assylum...

I use this title in reference to a couple of major incidents that has occured recently yet one is getting constant media attention while the other barely gets noticed. The first one is regarding the little 5 year old girl being handcuffed by police. I am sure you have heard of it. Lashawn Barber, Nykola, and Baldilocks all have good commentary on this incident if you want further info. The second is regarding a situation where 30+ teens violently attacked some Catholic school girls over the use of a basketball court, some details at Lashawn Barber's Corner about this one as well.

What is interesting is the fact that both cases involve unruly children, specifically unruly black children. Both should be proof positive of how screwed up the black community is especially in the area of parenting. What in God's name is going on when you have dozens of black GIRLS beating up on some white girls because they wouldn't let them use the basketball court? Whats even worse is that the violence was racially motivated as these hooligans were shouting such terms as "black power" and "Martin Luther King", which makes absolutely no sense! It boggles the mind when I hear of such things yet it also demonstrates why people, especially many of our black women are so angry and screwed up. Case one, a black 5 year old little girl being raised by a single black women gets hand-cuffed because of her out of control behavior, apparently no Father around, yet the media paints the picture as if the school is somehow in the wrong for restraining this out of control child! Case two, 30+/- black teens gathered as a mob to beat up on a few white girls, lack of moral character comes to mind here, yet no Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson to step in and speak up for the rights of these white girls being victims of a hate crime.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if it were brought to light that the mob of girls were all raised by single Mothers. It would actually make perfect sense.

Black people need to wake up, black men need to step up, and we all need to get back to what is right. That is found in God's word.

Notice the the reference is to a "he" and not a "she". Men need to stop abandoning their women and children. The black man especially needs to stand and be counted, start raising their children in the way that God has established. Women cannot do it by themselves and never could. Whenever there is deviance from God's order kaos is soon to follow, these two incidents in particular are a case in point.

THE MINUTEMEN PROJECT: VIGILANTES?

Are the men who are a part of the Minutemen project vigilantes? I say yes, they are.

Acording to this definition, they are just that and more. I thank God that we still have such men among us who are willing to stand up and do what is necessary to protect our great nation. I think though, that the vigilante tag has received a bad rap. These men are on 20 plus miles of the most highly trafficked and dangerous part of the border, monitoring and reporting any illegal activity to the border patrol. They are not only taking the law into their own hands but they are being responsible with it by assisting the existing authorities. What is wrong with that?

I encourage the Minutemen to embrace the vigilante tag that was so unwittingly yet rightfully applied to them by our dear president for it is a badge of honor. These men set a great example to the rest of us that we should all be vigilantes in the same way if we truly value our freedoms.

Star Parker writes about the Pope today commenting about an encyclical he wrote called "Centesimus Annus." In it the Pope raises some very key and powerful points about government, Socialism, and the welfare-state. Mrs. Parker, in reference to this encyclical, cites that Americans, specifically Black Americans, need to take heed of what the Pope had to say regarding these key issues, especially in regards to the notion of individual freedom and the role of government in our everyday lives. One point she brings up is the fact that while the black community in general, according to a Pew research pole done years ago, are for the most part the most religious of any group, their voting actions tend to contradict their faith. She notes:

I believe African-Americans mistakenly, and destructively, disconnect the way we express our religious convictions on Sunday and what we do in the voting booth on Tuesday. In church we express our conviction that our lives reflect and are the result of our faith, our choices and our responsibilities. Yet, we then buy a political message that government is the place to turn to solve our problems.

I tend to agree with this statement for some Christians where she says that there is a disconnect between religious convictions and politics. Yet, for the majority of blacks there isn't a real disconnect, if anything, I believe that a 90% support of the democratic platform coincides with what is actually be preached and taught in much of the black church today. If anything, what is being delivered to the people from the pulpit only perpetuates much of the ideology purveyed by the left such as the over emphasis by many preachers on material blessings from God rather than spiritual growth, stating that the kingdom of heaven is already here on earth, and the very popular name-it-to-claim-it mantra. Many preachers have been known to tout the idea of man being "little gods", intimating that we have the same attributes and abilities that God has and therefore should have all that He has as well. The focus ultimately is to get all you can from God now while here on earth, that God has nothing but material blessings for His "children". Such doctrine only serves to create a culture of entitlement among those who believe it and this in turn carries over into everyday life decisions. So rather than using scripture as a mirror to demonstrate our sinfulness in order to bring about true accountability, responsibility and ultimately repentance for ones actions, it is used by the preacher and encouraged to others as a tool for obtaining more from an already overly generous God who is apparently oh so ready to bless us with even more.

Keep in mind that at the very core of Socialism and Socialistic ideals is a notion of materialism, that through physical things rather than spiritual truth can one obtain happiness and contentedness. When all needs are met for all then all can be happy. This is exactly what is being taught in the black church today, that if you struggle with money and finances, then the answer is to give more money to the church and God will bless you with even more money in return. Little to no emphasis is given to the moral character of the person struggling with finances. That the answers to many of our problems is in whether or not we are living according to the will of God.

Give a little, get a lot is the order of the day, where the emphasis is constantly on what we can get from God rather than what we ought to be doing in service to Him and ultimately lends to the practice of putting government, the arbiters of money and power in this earth, in place of God or at the very least a conduit for doing "God's will" on earth. If we are constantly taught that we are entitled to live a certain way and that way is wealthy, where we are told that God has given all things to us, and that wealth is easily obtainable by way of the government then it becomes natural to not only rely on the government for sustenance but to expect it, even demand it as a right, a God-given right.

Culture of death continues...and other craziness

World Net Daily reports that a Granddaughter in LaGrange, Georgia, has decided to unplugg her grandmother's feeding tube, in spite of the fact that her grandmother is not terminally ill, in PVS (persistent vegetative state) or comotose! In addition, she is completely ignoring all requests by other close relatives, namely the brother of the grandmother and her nephew, who are willing to take her off of the granddaughter's hands. The granddaughter's rationale for unplugging the feeding and water tubes? According to the article she feels that "Grandmama is old and .. it is time she went home to Jesus,"... "She has glaucoma and now this heart problem, and who would want to live with disabilities like these?"

Gee, I don't know, maybe someone who actually wants to live? Apparently this women is completely ignoring the fact that her grandmother has left a will specifying under what circumstances to allow her death, none of which she is experiencing. For all intents and purposes, outside of the illness she is in the hospital for her aorta had a dissection and she suffers from glaucoma, she is perfectly fine. Amazing!

POPE JOHN PAUL II IS DEAD....

Pope John Paul II passed away this past Saturday. I was at home playing games with my kids when the announcement came on the news. I can't say I was surprised, needless to say it was inevitable.

While his death is definitely a sad occasion, one thing I must ask, it is something that has weighed in my mind for quite some time. How significant was the Pope to this world in a spiritual sense? I mean, I know he has accomplished great things in the name of peace, as Chuck Colson points out, he is credited with furthering the cause of freedom from communism in Europe, namely his own home town in Poland. He has also been noted for his work in reconciling relationships between the Jewish community and Catholics as well as "unifying" other religions with that of Catholicism. Yet, I still ask, is all of this of God? Was the Pope doing the will of God or of man? Personally, whatever the Pope wrote or stated in the form of doctrine whether political or spiritual never made a difference to me and my convictions. I've never agreed with the notion of one man passing down doctrine to the people who is supposedly getting his instruction from God. If I want or need to know what God agrees with or not I can simply drop down and ask Him myself or open the good book and read for myself.

While I am sure this Pope has done many great things that appear to have advanced the cause of Christ, and for all I know he was one of the most devout of Christian men, I still believe it is dangerous to put so much emphasis on one man for spiritual guidance for it eventually leads to the deification of such a one. Relying on fallible man alone to communicate with God and for the interpretation of scripture is a dangerous thing. I guess my point is merely to be mindful of such things as we hold up such great men as Ronald Reagan, William Wilberforce or Pope John Paul II, in spite of accomplishing great things, being motivated by their convictions and routed in scripture, they were still fallible men. We can raise them up to honor them, but lets not put them above or on equal footing with our beloved Christ our Lord.

I hope I haven't offended any Catholics out there, that wasn't my intention. While I do have many problems with Catholicism on a whole, I do know that there are many practicing Catholics who are true men and women of God. I do believe Pope John Paul II was one of them.

David Limbaugh comments about the Bishop Gene Robinson, of whom I believe is a good example of relying too much on the whims of man rather than the authority of God. I blogged about Bishop Robinson a few months back, responding to a sermon that he gave on the topic of recognizing evil. This man is backwards in his thinking and will only serve to mislead many into the pit of hell in a hand basket filled with razor-blades and alcohol. Now he is somehow arguing that Jesus was gay because he hung around all men and wasn't married. Amazing! By such logic any man is gay if he hangs around his male friends and is un-married. Solatude comments about the next Pope, saying that having a black Pope "would be nothing short of remarkable." I think it would definitely shake things up but I wouldn't hold my breath.

ANTS DESERVE RESPECT...

I thought this would be a good laugh. Below is a letter I wrote to my son's teacher in regards to an incident at his school where he apparently attempted to burn an ant with a magnifying glass. I guess this somehow disturbed her to the point where she had to give my son a behavior report and send it home to me to be signed. Now don't get me wrong here, as my letter will indicate, I don't have a problem with his being disciplined, just for what he is being disciplined for. Read below and you will understand. The names have been changed to protect the not so innocent.

DATE: March 31, 2005

TO: Mrs. R.

RE: Behavior Report

Dear Mrs. R.,

While I appreciate your concern for my sons well being, I must say that I do not agree with this behavior report regarding his burning of an ant with a magnifying glass. I do not agree that his doing this demonstrates a lack of self respect or respect for others given that the others in this situation is a bug. Utilizing such logic to its end would suggest that it is disrespectful to even squash a spider or some other insect while walking to the lunch area. Yet, the safety aspect of this incident didn'tt seem to have been addressed here. Are we to say that an ant is deserving of respect more so than my son's safety? In regards to self respect, I am lost on that particular assessment as I do not see how burning an ant indicates a lack of respect for self. Perhaps you are equating the level of respect for a bug with a level of respect for my son? I hope not.

My son also mentioned to me a remark you made to him regarding his professing to be a Christian. Something to the effect of him being a "fake Christian"? I do understand condemning his actions but questioning his faith on the basis of such actions seems a bit extreme to me and really has nothing to do with his faith. We are talking about a curious 9 year old doing what many if not most kids his age do. I myself can attest to having tried the same thing as a child, my parents saw it as no big concern then and I, as a parent do not now. Now, I do understand that sometimes children can mis-communicate when relaying information so I will give you the benefit of the doubt on this one.

In addition, I do agree that he should not have attempted to burn the ant, yet for a different reason, that being the issue of safety for himself and fellow classmates. Utilizing a magnifying glass in such a manner should be construed as a fire hazard and therefore a potential danger to all students. If anything, this incident should have been an impetus to instruct my son and the rest of the class in fire safety and responsibility. It would seem that what my son received out of this encounter was the notion that ants deserve respect.

As a result of my assessment Ive encouraged my son to re-write his behavior report to reflect the notion of safety rather than respect. If you have any questions regarding this letter please feel free to contact me.

I haven't heard from his teacher yet, but I am sure I will be getting a response some time in the near future. It is amazing, here you have opportunity to teach a young impressionable mind the values of responsibility, respect for others(people that is), and about fire safety and he gets an apparently short lecture about being a fake Christian and respecting ants. Amazing! If any of you are wondering, yes, this is a public school. A charter school at that. And yes, I am planning to remove him and possibly home-school my children if not put them into a private school. The only reason I find this situation humorous is that I am confident in what I teach my son and know that whatever gobblygook he gets from school will be filtered out into truth when he gets home with me. Enjoy the laugh!

Terry Schiavo has passed away....

It is a sad day in America when a women is murdered for the sole reason of being mentally disabled, not terminally ill, not in the process of dying at all, but merely because she doesn't have the ability to feed herself. Terry Schiavo passed away today of starvation and dehydration, she was only 41 years old.

Lashawn Barber comments "It's all over", I think it is the end of the beginning of an even larger debate regarding the right to life vs. the so called dying with dignity crowd. The case with Schiavo will be referred to for years to come as an example for both sides of the coin. This is the strange thing about this particular story, that on one side you have those, including myself, that say Terry Schiavo wanted to live, she deserved to have the opportunity to be rehabilitated. We will always question why her husband wanted her to die from being deprived food and water. To me, whether she truly wanted to die or not, it made no sense whatsoever for her to die this way. On the other side are those who will see Terry Schiavo as a precedent for future cases involving similar circumstances. Namely, that a relative can decide for another relative whether or not that person wants to live or die, if indeed they are unable to speak for themselves, and without any written, legally documented proof. Thats huge!

I pray for the parents as well as Michael Schiavo.

BLACK PEOPLE ARE SCREWED UP!

Well, not all black people, maybe just supposedly Christian black people, or at least this group of church members in Jacksonville who stood outside a courthouse to have a prayer vigil, about 50 members of Little Rock Baptist Church actually, to ask God's mercy for their pastor, the 34 year old Rev. Alexie Kelly regarding his being arrested for statatory rape of a 13 year old girl(any relation to R. Kelly?). Apparently he had a 3 month affair with this little girl as reported by PAUL PINKHAM of The Times-Union. Amazing! Not only did the church congregation pray that the pastor would get a light sentence but the victims mother joined them in pleading with the judge for leniancy as well stating that

...no good would come from sending Kelly to prison for his sins.

Apparently this wasn't the good 'ol reverens fault, according to his attorney it was the work of evil forces trying to discredit the church and undo all of the "good" that this pastor has done for the community. Right! I guess the victim; in this case a 13 year old little girl is expendable in the minds of these people, including the judge since he only gave him 6 months and 3 years probation rather than the 30 year penalty. What is going on when people would rather defend the guilty than the innocent and most vulnerable among us? Maybe this guy has done some "good" in a relative sense but defending such an act is appalling to say the least. As Tonyaa Weathersbee of BlackAmericaWeb.com comments:

First of all, young black girls –– especially those between the ages of nine and 12 –– are more frequently the victims of sexual abuse than white girls in that age range. By going to bat for the preacher instead of for his victim, the congregants did nothing to thwart that pattern.

Of course that isn't the point right? It is more important to not let another one of our men go to jail. We've got to protect and coddle the black man and keep him out of harms way, right? Even if it means looking the other way when he does wrong. Not!

Weathersbee then goes on to make a very interesting and revealing point regarding the absence of the father?

It was also criminal that no father spoke to defend his daughter’s honor as her mother was making her mealy-mouthed defense of her child’s rapist.

Absolutely amazing! My guess is that there was no father around to make such a case which is probably why and how this happened in the first place. The absence of a father in the home raising this young girl. The preacher steps in and fills the void, even if it is in a perverted fashion. This should be a clear indicator to those of us who are real Christians that the role of the male and the father in particular is of the utmost importance in our society and on a smaller scale, within the family unit. I've heard many conservatives comment about how the government stepped in and replaced the father in the home with a welfare check, well, in addition, many preachers, especially black preachers, came along for the ride and replaced the marital relationship with a perverted, emotional religion. One that only serves to manipulate women into doing what he wants them to do. A religion that strokes the egos and stokes the flames of insecurity among the church-going female.

I can speak from personal experience that this is nothing new and has been happening for many years. I've been a part of several churches where the ministers were literally molesting the young female congregation, many of them up until adulthood. One truth is always consistent in every situation, those women who are abused by these so called pillers of the community find it extremely difficult to get over such betrayal, and many never do. I gaurantee you the 13 year old that was molested by this pastor will carry this scar in her conscience for the rest of her life. She will never be the same again.

Black people will continue to suffer as a community as long as they continue to embrace immorality in this manner. Especially within the black church, there needs to be a zero tolerance for this type of behavior among pastors and leaders of the community.

I pray that the Lord's mercy be upon that little girl.
